All of San Francisco and the Bay Area -
was once pristine not any more -
we must ask ourselves who contaminated
and polluted all that was once pristine ?
Seeing is believing - more when I made a trip to witness the melting of the great icebergs - and related issues - my trip to Alaska and beyond.
Pieces of a a glacier float - and as
the years go by - bigger chunks of the glaciers -
will melt and prove that climate change is
here to stay.

Why is it you all so called environmentalists do not want to honor and respect the First People ? The First People who protected and preserved Mother Earth for over 13,000 years.
Always took little - and did not believe in wasting - like the White Folks - who continue to increase the the Carbon Foot Print - contributing to Sea Level, dangerous particulates.
Leading to the death of our infants, children, youth, young adults, senior, and those with compromised health - Asthma soon will be endemic - slowly killing thousands - if not millions.

More the Muwekma Ohlone - the First People of San Francisco - while trying to be pompous beyond measure - addressing some trivial issues linked to mundane, Environmental Issues - here in San Francisco and the Region - we call the Bay Area.
The Director of the SF Department of the Environment - its Director Debbie Raphael has for the longest time - failed to serve San Franciscans - pushing for all sorts of ploys, machinations, and shenanigans.
For starters the group that gathered and was televised by the SF City's Television Station - SFGOV.TV - clearly showed how racists these so called environmentalists are - there was NOT one person of color from the community - that participated in the deliberations.
Phil Ginsburg was there the head of SF Recreation and Park - as usual talking from both sides of his mouth. The privatization of our neighborhood parks and recreation fields - must stop - stop charging us to use our own resources that were stolen from the neighborhoods. Enough is enough.
There was one participant from the National Park Service - at the so called Environmental Day celebration - may be a Chinese American NPS employee.
This NPS employee - who said something - nothing that was viable and sustainable - mentioned her son - who she said was talented - and helped her in her NPS work for free.
The only Native People that can be called Native People are the Native Americans - the indigenous people who preserved and protected our Nation - for over 13,000 years.
Empirical data - gathered from Native American human remains, artifacts linked to the Native Americans, DNA studies, and other scientific methods - that prove beyond doubt the significant and stellar contribution who protected and preserved - all that was pristine for thousands of years.
Then came the " strangers " - the Native Americans called them " palefaces " - we also know them " those that speak with a forked tongue " - they are also known as Whites.
Whites came here from elsewhere - have NO direct connection with the Native Americans - who they called Indians - thinking at first they arrived in India.
The first " pale faces who landed " on the East Coast " - were starving and many died from starvation.
The Native Americans fed them - gave them berries, wild fowl, corn, and so on - once the " pale faces " - revived they bit the hand that fed them.
This one singular fact has been the common denominator all these many years.
We will see more of these -
even as the Northeastern has -
has been causing havoc on the
East Coast - so far we have been lucky -
but not for long - we are already experiencing
cold spells in SF - and soon there will be snow falling
right here in San Francisco.
In less than 200 years - these " pale faces " destroyed what was pristine - continue to create a mess.
The present adverse impacts - linked to " Climate Change " - Sea Level Rise - other adverse impacts - can all be contributed to these so called " pale faces " - the scourge of this Earth - not to be trusted.
GREED is their god - the pale faces - are a anathema to the human race - more the likes of Debbie Raphael and her likes.
Again and again we have Whites - who are NOT Culturally Competent, exhibit implicit bias of the highest order - pretend they know it all. When asked for the facts - they stutter, stammer, they seem to forget what the subject was all about.
We all know about San Francisco and the surrounding area - large areas covered with sand - and small bushes over large areas - for thousands of years.
Few trees and for sure no Eucalyptus trees - and the many trees that were imported from elsewhere - non-native and planted all over the place - without any clue about the damage they would do.
The same with ice plants, Brazilian red berries - other non-native plants that many brought here to San Francisco that adversely impacted the native plants - that thrived for thousands of years.
Abalone, herring, small birds, deer and other flora and fauna - was found in abundance - the Ohlone - small clans - lived and flourished - that is until the "pale faces came " and decimated them - they have BLOOD on their hands.
18 treaties were signed - with the United States Government - none ratified - this and more have shown the world and World Bodies that study study Human Rights -how evil some are - and continue to be - there is the Great Spirit and the wisdom of the Elders to back - those that speak to Truth and have their heart in the right place.
On another level - there is much that is done positive - by those that know better. Not by those I have mentioned above to talk in circles - who rape, cheat, destroy, kill Buffalo for their skin not their flesh, do things that normal and decent human do not do - one of them - slavery.
Another putting the decent human beings on Reservations.
Native plants have been preserved - by some few experts - who have studied Native Plants - the Muwekma Ohlone too - have viable and sustainable knowledge - of native plants - more herbs and medicinal plants.
When I worked at the Presidio of San Francisco - I would meet some so called Native Plant experts who talked a lot -but did not have a clue about what they were talking about.
I helped create the Native Plant Nursery - Buildings 1243 and 1244 that germinated thousands of Native Plants - that were used at Crissy Field and in other places.
With little or no help from the Golden Gate National Recreation (GGNRA) - or the National Park Service.
I created and operated the Recycling Center - and worked with Haight Ashbury Recycling, helped create other recycling centers - much before the SF Department of the Environment was formed. Its first Director Jared Blumfeld - Mr Assman the Chief Financial Officer - both do not work for the SF Department of the Environment today.
The SF Department of Environment came later - created by Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr - and formed with mitigation money - when the PG&E power plant was sold to Mirant - the Power Plant on Third Sreet and 22nd.
I followed how monies set aside for mitigation and community benefits - was used to rehabilitate the Conservatory that was falling apart - situated at the Golden Gate Park.
Money set aside for the Bayview Hunters Point community that has been suffering so many years from the early 1950s - dangerous particulates, mercury, lead spewing in the air. Add to that the Cumulative Impacts - from Superfund Site that is the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard and you have a Toxic Cesspool.
The SF Department of Environment with its lack of Cultural Competency and exercising continuous " Implicit Bias " - has done more harm than good and must be shut down.
Money set aside for the community was not distributed to the non-profits that helped so much to the Environmental Movement - some Whites their heart NOT in the right place - do what they do best - create " divisiveness " - they took our money - money set aside for community benefits - and did as they pleased.
The SF Department of Environment - leeches on Recology and get grants from entities - and uses a lot of it - to pay administrative expenses - and high salaries.
If they could take money from the General Fund - they would come out with all sorts of excuses to rape the General Fund and deplete that source that other have tapped into.
The Bayview Hunters Point Area has always suffered - more from the SF Department of Environment - the first grants that were given - were not vetted well.
Dana Lanza who ran a non-profit - with the proper certifications - received millions to operate her non-profit named Literacy for Environmental Justice (LEJ).
In the year 2010 an off the grid EcoCenter was opened - it was not operated for many years - and it could not afford to pay experts to operate the center - and more collect data - that could be used.
Heron's Head was once Pier 98 - the Piers fell apart and soon it became an area - where all sorts of very toxic material was dumped - chrome residue, construction containing Asbestos, other very toxic garbage.
Soil testing done - and I have the results - prohibited the use of that site - for human beings - more for a prolonged period.
The folks that tried to operate Heron's Head Park - part of the SF Port Authority - paid no attention - children were taken from our schools to Heron's Head Park - and exposed to the contaminants and pollution of the worst kind.
The SF Department of Environment encouraged such so called environmental trips - for all the wrong reasons. The have BLOOD on their hands.
Much as is happening today with SF Public Utilities Commission - non-profits that rubber stamp the wishes of those that fund the non-profits who have a hidden agenda.
Nothing much has changed and the few advocates that are on th frontlines - will continue to fight for what is right - in the end TRUTH prevails.
The SF Department of Environment has its tentacles - everywhere where the word " environment " is mentioned.
Purporting to know some - when they know nothing at all - under the leadership of Debbie Raphael - who will never get it.
The jerks who sit of the SF Department of Environment Commission - keep talking in circles - never once have the acknowledge the First People - the Native Americans who preserved and protected this land - we call San Francisco and more the Bay Area.
