RANK CHOICE VOTING IS TEDIOUS - SO FAR MARK LENO HAS A LEAD - HOWEVER, AS I SAID WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS TEDIOUS ROUTINE - IF MARK LENO WINS - IT WILL BE GOOD FOR SAN FRANCISCO.

Mark Leno - may be our Mayor -
and if this happens God Willing -
San Francisco will move in the right direction -
we need direction - but more we need - sound leadership.

Rank Choice Voting has the ability to keep many guessing - more when the races are close.

These recent Primary Elections -  seems to be the case - with our SF Mayoral Race - right now Mark Leno is winning.

Mark Leno - he has received over 77% of Jane Kim's supporters vote - for second place - and this one singular fact - can be the surprise of the day. Even though the race may be announced - three or four days from today.

Jane Kim

Jane Kim supporters must be commended for doing what they had to do.

Of all the Mayoral candidates - the only event I attended in person - was one that Jane Kim held on Folsom Street.

I sat on a high stool - close to the stage - surrounded by a diverse crowed - around a high table - and it was all good.
David Talbot made a great speech - shared many of my values - and made me feel - good. I had an opportunity to shake Jane Kim hand and wish her the best - at this unique event.

London Breed is still in the race -
during this interim period -
she has a lot to ponder - more about ethics,
morals, and sound standards. I believe in second chances.

London Breed has been bank rolled - by big developers - and this money - pushed her into some limelight.

Rank Choice voting - can push aside anyone - it depends who get the majority of votes - when it counts.

In this case the alliance made between Mark Leno and Jane Kim - will play a role.

This Mayoral Primary elections - happened because of the early demise of Edwin Mah Lee -  it opened wounds and created a lot of divisiveness.

Now, is the time - to put aside those animosities and move forward.

I have received many emails - asking my opinion - it is simple to discern.

If any of the above  have their heart in the right place - I will discern and pick two of them - that is what I did - when I voted by mail - some days ago.

Having said this may the best candidate win.

We all know housing is an issue more for our seniors and those with compromised health - more the mentally and physically challenged.

We need more affordable housing for those making 40,000 and below.

More low income housing for those making no income - many widows who stayed at home - while their husbands worked - and brought in the bread and butter.

San Francisco has compromised its Carbon Footprint - and hopefully our new Mayor will do the right thing - after reviewing the empirical data.

Our youth are suffering - and they need all the assistance more LBGTQ youth - many came here - dreaming to have a better life - and many seem not to fulfill their dream. They need our attention and needed action.

Our SF Board of Supervisors seems to talk too much - while affording those that can give them some sound advice - a measly two minutes - under some sordid rules that make no sense - during Public Comment in Room 250.

In recent years Quality of Life has been compromised - and we must stop the constant construction - and obstructions we face - on the streets of San Francisco.

Sometimes it takes over 45 minutes to move from one block to another - in all of these back to back traffic - tons of particulates spew into the air - and compromise our health with dangerous particulates. Need I say more.

The cost of renting a unit has sky rocketed - one bed room goes for $3500 and two bedrooms for $5000 and more.

Those that need affordable housing - have no where to go - it is not uncommon for people to rent a couch to rest - and crash anywhere to make ends meet.

I admire how in San Francisco - we all fought hard for what was right - with empathy and compassion - during this Primary Elections.

As I said there will be a victor - and hopefully that candidate will lead wisely -  I hope I have a chance to be close to the candidate - and contribute the best I have to offer to San Francisco.

The Muwekma Ohlone -
have lived here for over 13,000 years -
we need to honor the First People of San Francisco.

This is Ohlone Land and Mother Earth has suffered too much.

We have an opportunity to change things - weed the chaff and start with a clean slate.
