WE HAVE HAD MANY PROPHETS - STAND TALL AND REPRESENT - BLATANT DISCRIMINATION MUST END - NOW IS THE MOMENT - OF TRUTH - THIS MOVEMENT - MUST SHED LIGHT - WHERE THERE HAS BEEN ABJECT DARKNESS.

Frederick Douglass
(1818-1895)

Frederick Douglass was a self-made man.

He taught himself to read and write.

He understood the maladies of this time -  debated those that he chose to - and beat them -  with ideas, concepts, and self-evidence - Truth.

He figured out his future - against all odds - and beat the so called "enemies " at their own game.

Frederick Douglass  worked with President Abraham Lincoln - encouraging him to permit Black to fight in the Civil War.

This singular act  -  led President Abraham Lincoln - freeing many slaves - and helping many Blacks - once President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated - things went south.

Frederick Douglass a well renowned Abolitionist - used his newspaper the North Star - to free slaves having himself escaped from Maryland. He was fearless but what is important to note a man with fortitude and tenacity. He was NO - house negro.

Frederick Douglass did this when most Black could not travel freely - and what is important to note - speak freely.

Frederick  Douglass was gifted  - much like - Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

When these two men spoke - the ideas and concepts - hit those listening so hard - that they awakened themselves to a new reality.

Today, we have shallow leaders - they talk the talk - but cannot walk the walk.

Many Black - so called leaders - pandering - I call them House Negros.

These Black - that I call House Negros - have NOT gone through the fire - but what is important to note - most of them women and men are spiritually - bankrupt.

When I was young - I read about Frederick Douglass - and it was only when I came to the shores of the United States - that I got to understand his times - and value the speeches he made - and the ideas and concepts he stood for.

Chief Siting Bull
(1831-1890)

Chief Sitting Bull  (Tatanka-Iyotanka) he united the Lakota Nation - he defeated the United State Army - the Battle of the Little Bighorn. He was a leader who love his people - he tried his best much like Chief Joseph - in the end - he resigned - became a farmer and even tried his hand with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.

Not along ago we went from San Francisco to North Dakota - saw the Black Hills - and felt the spirit of the brave warriors women and men - and that of Chief Sitting Bull.

We went to Standing Rock and witnessed - thousands gathered - from all over the world - we saw a tipping point - many of us - and have kept the flame alive.

This land - every square inch is indigenous land.

Several Tribes have sovereign land - treaties signed by the Tribes and the U.S. Government.

Again and again the U.S. Government - does as they please - and in recent times - have met the " ire " of the Tribes - today more than ever before.

Woman Warrior Red Fawn -
on the eve of being sentenced for 57 months -
July 11. 2018 - time will tell.

We witnessed this nonsense - when those who have a right to protest - at Standing Rock - on Sovereign land - were attacked - dogs set upon the Tribal women and men - shot with rubber bullets, other horrible atrocities committed.

Others arrested and tried in the Courts - presided by biased judges  - with links to White Supremacists -  all this nonsense will come to an end soon.

We must not forget the struggle of the indigenous people - the many tribes today who are second class citizens in their own land.

Even in Minneapolis many indigenous people suffered - their business burnt down - by those who do not know their history - yet, think by burning and destroying they can bring about change. That will not happen - we must learn to plant a good seed.

This just action is not given to anarchists, White Supremacists - those who kill others like cowards - under the cover of darkness - we have tolerated their nonsense for too long - and we must now shed light  - where there is abject darkness.

Dr Martin Luther King Jr
(Jan 15, 1929 - April 4, 1968)
Pastor, Nobel Prize winner - practiced Non-Violence -
brilliant speaker, orator - word smith - leader -
even today his speeches speak to these times -
he envisioned the future and what is important
to note - laid the foundation for those who wanted change.

Change does not come - by drama,  fleeting moments, lack spirituality - sensationalism - which shines for some time and then fades away.

We now have a movement - where all nationalities have come tougher - to fight injustice - blatant racism.

We  witness the slow death of Mr George Floyd - a rogue policeman - placed his knee on his neck - and with intent - exerted pressure - until Mr George Floyd - could breathe no more.

We witnessed this - children, youth, young adults, our Elders, those with compromised health - more the mentally and physically - challenged.

Brilliant philosophers, theologians, doctors, lawyers, judges, administrators, generals, the United States military, pastors, musicians, environmentalists, advocates, nurses,  the pope, teachers, blue collar workers - all those whose heart is in the right place - say - " enough is enough ".

For sure we do not trust the politicians - much like we pay no attention to the " egotistical maniac " who makes his abode in the White House.

His days are numbered - he can TWIT all he wants - his drab supporters - are the laughing stock of the entire world. His days are numbered - and history will record his actions as the worst ever by any United States President.

The people united will never, ever be defeated.

It took the death of Mr George Floyd -
an act atrocious laden with blatant discrimination -
that has the attention of the world -
trying to comprehend - the United States -
and why it still continues to discriminate -
this nonsense must STOP - now.

In the words of Giana Floyd -
" Daddy changed the World "
