COMMUNITY POLICING IS REALLY - " D E A D " - IN SAN FRANCISCO - THE HIGHEST TYPE OF INCOMPETENCY - PREVAILS - MORE WHEN IT COMES TO SHOOTING AND KILLINGS.

Community Policing is much needed in San Francisco - with so many astute and educated citizens - ready to address Quality of Life issues -  incorporate cultural competency, implicit bias models that work.

No attempt what so ever has been made to embrace sound Community Policing.

More, address and incorporate de-escalation - and other models and proven methods - to bring peace on our streets and build - a working relationship with our neighbors and bring tranquility to our neighborhoods.

What makes " Community Policing work is sound communication, trust, spirituality,  working relationships - and having one's heart in the right place.

Yesterday, I was at the San Francisco General Hospital - when I received several calls about a Town Meeting at the SF Bayview Police Station - most of those calling me - stating that - on the agenda was Joseph Taeotui - affectionately known better as " Jungle " - who is on life support - and as of this posting - still at SF General Hospital.

I arrived at the SF Bayview Police and entered the community room - and took my seat. I did not see any Polynesian - for sure NO Samoan. No family members. I was perturbed.

We should not dare to discuss such incidents - without the family members present. We already went through this in the case of Amere Jackson - whose parents were informed at the eleventh hour.

This hastily called meeting - was called for ulterior motives.

Normally held on a Wednesday, this meeting was held on a Thursday. The introduction to this Town Hall Meeting - was hostile to anyone decent, well mannered, and set the wrong tone.

It would have been better for someone to pray at the beginning of the meeting - to drive away the devil and the smell of sulphur. 

A prayer was said at the end of the meeting.

After some minimal  deliberation - the floor was opened for Public Comment - and so I took the liberty to first inform, educate and set the tone - for the rest of the meeting.

After I set the tone informing that it was wrong for the SF Police Department to send out a bulletin - on August 13, 2018 that Joseph Taeotui was dead - when this was NOT true.

This one act in this case - severed all trust with the SF Police Department - and those that support and love Joseph Taeotui  - his family and loved ones.

That includes many of us who know too much about the situation at hand and those trying to divide the community.

I have brought this one singular incident to the attention of the Chief of Police - Williams Scott , SF Department heads, and some key community members - the decent community members agree with me.

SF City Hall still has not put in writing how best are they going to help Joseph Taeotui - after all Joesph Taeotui as stated by a News Release - by the SF Police Department - states:

" The victim (Joseph Taeotui) who is an employee of the City's Street Violence Intervention Program (SVIP) was transported to the hospital where he is listed in life-threatening condition."

You must recollect and keep in mind the SF Police Department declared Joseph Taeotui " deceased " and has NOT offered an apology. As of this morning - he has not been declared deceased.

Joseph Taeotui - Brother to me - a very good friend and I spent an hour and a half talking to him a week before the incident August 13, 2018. His main focus was his young 
daughter - dreaming of giving her the best he had to offer.

I have been at the SF General Hospital from August 13, 2108 to August 16, 2018 - monitoring the situation.

Among other things - seeing dubious entities come and go - pretending to be of help - but really trying to insert innuendoes, rumors, all sorts of misinformation - and we all - at " ground zero " - are NOT about to succumb - to these distractions.

Joseph Taeotui was a peace maker and a warrior.

This was his legacy - and that is how we will plan remember him. 

We are not going to act foolish - and we are NOT going to pander to the evil wishes - of those who have ulterior motives.

Joseph Taeotui will be protected by his family, the Samoan community - those that love him round the clock - 24/7.

To those who are spreading rumors that are NOT holistic - you are warned to stay away from this situation at hand.

If you have nothing positive to say - please shut your mouth.

No one should be speaking on behalf of Joseph Taeotui - unless they get direct permission from those family members appointed - to grant permission.

Those that go to City Hall - meet the SF Police Department - meet and speak to the Main Media - may think they are doing us a favor - they are not. They must cease and desist - now.

I have spoken to Joseph Taeotui wife - Mollie Siolo on all matters of importance. She is in agreement with the suggestion and protocol in place.

Shawn Siolo his Brother in law - other close members of his family - I respect their privacy and run everything by them.  They agree with the protocol put in place.

Simi Iulio is my point of contact - as I have worked with him on other such issues before - we two will do all in our power - to keep the crooks and the corrupt at bay.

There is something foul brewing at SF City Hall - with all sorts of ploys, machination, and shenanigans - coming at us - with no rhyme or reason.

More - lacking -  accountability and less transparency.
