SAN FRANCISCO HAS YET TO COME OUT WITH A SUSTAINABLE AND VIABLE PLAN TO ADDRESS THE INCREASE IN COVID-19 VIRUS AND SITUATIONS ON THE INCREASE.

The COVID-19 virus continues to spread -
mostly affecting the elderly -
while here in San Francisco - we are still -
pointing fingers at others - when those in
charge are fast asleep at the cockpit.

Mayor London Breed has learned nothing much from all the time  - she has been Mayor of San Francisco.

Here in San Francisco we do not have a single facility that has the standards in place to address " quarantining " as few as 500 people.

We have a population of 840,000 and a day population of over a million and a half - when we have a large convention, some game, some event  as the X-games - and so on.

Governor Gavin Newsom is now just talking in circles - about a Princess Cruise Ship - that is suppose to dock in San Francisco = but now has been ordered to - anchor in International waters.

We well remember the time when Gavin Newsom was the Mayor of San Francisco - we had a mishap lacking oil in the Bay and the Mayor was no where to be found - he was vacationing in Hawaii.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - put all their eggs in the same basket - and when they found out the kits used to test the COVID-19 failed initially - they had to review their protocol and made some adjustments.

Now some 250,000 are available to be shipped - and the CDC is making some faint attempt to deliver the " testing kits ".

The CDC  while bragging some one million tests can be conducted - there is no guarantee - so far if all the kits are full proof - and this and more is all talk.

Testing done as drivers are stopped -
tested and the necessary precaution taken.

In South Korea thousands have been tested - and South Korean government has done a great job so far. They have more than one method of testing - as should be the case.

In Japan the authorities abide by strict standards - and keep tabs of cruise ships, airline flights, other protocols that have back up plans.

We do not have these standards in place - and more many have not be adhered to. We love to talk too much - more action and less talk.

Here in Northern California a woman who was tested positive - was released and she spent some time at a shopping mall. What the hell is happening?

The authorities admit such mistakes and discrepancies - and are unabashed - and all this and more - makes you wonder who we have as part of our sordid leadership.

We have the NEMS clinic on San Bruno in San Francisco - in a residential area -  patients have flu like symptoms - continue to spit and blow their nostrils - outside the clinic on the sidewalk - as they are accustomed to do.

The San Francisco Health Department has failed to do outreach - more to the clinics that help the indigent, the immigrant population, failing to make sound policies.

The SF Health Department talk too much - and fail to provide support to the man smaller clinics - where many of those affected go - as they have before and will continue in the future.

The clinics do a good job - the one location in the South of Market Area, the clinic on Silver Avenue, the Southeast Clinic in the Bayview, the many clinics in the Mission, the clinics located in China Town and the one on SF San Bruno Avenue - the many other clinics doing their best with NO help from the SF Health Department that has a $2.8 Billion budget.

None of them have been given kits - and none of them have received the training to address the situation at hand. No quality outreach - we talk too much and the time to act in now.

The many boards - are just that - again and again the San Francisco General Hospital - has received many Notice of Violations.

These NOVs have NOT been posted on their website - and those in charge should be ashamed of themselves. The SF Health Commissioners - must review the existing protocols - more since the COVID-19 is here to stay - and most of the victims will be our beloved Elders - we must act on a War Footing - and stop pandering to the public - saying one thing and doing another. Pathetic.

Dr. Grant Colfax

The SF General Hospital has a budget of over $2.8 Billion - and we have NOT seen too many stellar changes - for the better.

I often visit the SF General Hospital - the brand new one - and the old one - and what I see - calls for drastic changes.

Of  course those who are mostly impacted - are those who cannot defend themselves - cannot speak up.

If they do - they are penalized.

The nurses at the SF General Hospital are over worked. The Black nurses discriminated and all this and more must STOP.

Our City and County of San Francisco and more Dr Grant Colfax lacks leadership.

Dr Grant Colfax is a panderer - we now have to address the concerns of the Registered Nurses and other nurses and the staff - dealing with the prospects of spending an inordinate time with COVID-19 patients - must be taken into consideration.

Our nurses and those on the frontlines should NOT be used as guinea pigs. Some of these high paid folks - our SF City Administrator, the Executive Director Mary Ellen Carroll, Sheryl Evans - Davis - all talk and no walk.

There has been NO specialized training given to our Registered Nurses, our Licensed Nurses, other frontline line workers working with the Nurses and Doctors.

The Registered Nurses are over work and under paid.

(RNs) are over worked. It takes the system 18 months to fill a Full Time Employment (FTE) - and this and more does not faze the SF Board of Supervisors and the Mayor London Breed.

COVID-19 will open their eyes - and most of them will make excuses - that is why I am spelling it out - exposing the buffoonery and more.

We do not have qualified people who are well versed with logistics, folks who cannot do a sound needs assessment.

We have no folks - worth the salt - who can maintain standards when it comes - to short and long time goals.

Our City Office of Emergency Services is a JOKE.

Many nations have a couple of ways to test - more if they have medical institutions with their own laboratories.

The  CDC tried to maintain its own standards - but when their own " testing kits failed " they had to admit defeat - and allow other laboratories and testing facilities all over the United States  - to follow some proven standards and get to work.

If we do not have readily available " testing kits " then it is impossible to know - what really is happening - with the COVID-19 virus.

Since when have we fallen on times -where we not not take the protection of our citizens and their health - and address the situation at hand - in a nonchalant manner?

Recently Congress passed an appropriation - the amount of
$8.3 Billion - which will soon go to the Senate and hopefully pass.

Prior to that in the last budget - billions were cut from the CDC budget by the man who is living in the White House.

The problem we put too much faith in some entities - put our eggs in one basket - and hopefully with the COVID-19 failed kits from the CDC - and the CDC admitting the failure - we all will learn something for now the future for sure.

Right now the window of opportunity to stall the COVID-19 virus - an opportunity that has escaped us initially - and " community spread " is on the increase.

This is a matter of life and death - and those responsible are playing with fire.

Here is California and in some other places - mistakes were made - CDC personnel exposed to the virus - because they were not given the orientation, lacked the equipment and tools to deal with the virus - and all this and more has been surpassed - and will come to bit us in the butt.

Executive Director -
Mary Ellen Carroll -
she has failed us - cannot even stand her ground -
and address the situation at hand.

Naomi Kelly -
our City Administrator -
can do more to represent - but keeps a low profile -
over 23,000 employees come under her purview -
or so they tell me.

Wash your hands with soap -
as many times as possible -
stop spitting on the streets -
sneeze using tissue - and dispose of it -
in a place where it is sealed and will be disposed safely.
We must work together and help educate those
that are not educated and lack hygiene -
careful not to hurt anyone feelings.

Avoid gathering and meetings - as much as you can - we have to watch the situation for the next 6 month - this City and County will not come to your rescue - not the ones that I know and make a lot of money.

They only care about their own selves - selfish, pathetic - and a disgrace to the human race.
