The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA) has failed San Francisco on many levels.
The SF Board of Supervisors (BOS) kicking the can down the lane - listening to the excuses made by the MTA - and compromising standards - wasting millions of dollars - hard earned SF tax payers money.
Hiring consultant - who beat round the bush - saying one thing that means another - spewing diatribe - and thinking they can fool all the people - all the time. Those that pay these consultants - and out of their mind - and the SF Controller's Office has been fast asleep at the cockpit - circumventing the concrete issues at hand.
The SF MTA has failed us all - the MUNI buses come stacked - on San Bruno Avenue - 10 to 12 MUNI buses - back to back - duding rush hours.
I had to take myself to South Vans Ness - visit a transportation planner - at the SF MTA headquarters - and explain the situation at hand.
The Sf MTA engineer still did not get it.
For the last 5 years - SF MTA has failed to hire the required operators - today we need 500 drivers.
This vacuum is compromising - standards - add to that congestion.
Add to that the SF Health Department insisting - testing the drivers - holding up hires for as long as 8 months - and you have a cesspool - that stinks to high heaven.
The SF BOS - the likes of Ahsha Safai and Hillary Ronen talking from both sides of their mouth.
Few advocates attend the SF City County Transportation Authority meeting - it is like a circus - the same clowns - patting there behinds.
There is only so much of this utter nonsense anyone can take.
To add insult to the situation the Controller's Office and other nefarious entities like SPUR have formed a SF MUNI Reliability Working Group - coming up with a number of recommendations - all talk and NO walk.
It is a fact that SF MTA has wasted millions of dollars - and SF Controller's Officer is mandated to get to the bottom of this on going nonsense.
In the past there have bee abuses of Over Time - one employee coming to the Machine Ship in his pajamas to clock in - and coming last to clock out - thousands doled out - to this one individual and other too.
With having meaningful input - hundreds of new MUNI Light Rail vehicles were ordered from Siemens - known as the Siemens Light-Rail Vehicle Procurement.
On procuring the vehicle all hell broke loose - and it has taken years to fix the problems. Vehicle stalled from faulty breaks, doors closing suddenly - dragging passengers and putting them in harms way, a host of other technical problems - resolved one by one and taking years.
Again and again the woman from the SF MTA who tries to explain the many problems - facing SF MTA - tongue in cheek has been given a pass.
Glaring - mistakes have been made - and SF MTA Commission - is not respected. The entire SF MTA needs revamping - and it does not help some clown from the AC Transit - to help us here in San Francisco.
In fact plans are afoot to do away with the SF MTA and how the Commissioners are anointed - a Ballot Measure - to revamp the entire SF MTA Commissioners - haughty and arrogant.
Chair of the SF MTA Commissioner Aaron Peskin tries to placate - pander, and often times bends backwards - to save face and help the SF MTA presenters - the entire circus - replete with utter nonsense - nonsense presentations have reached saturation point.
There has been NO quarterly reports on the Prop K Sales Funds - with line-item accountability and justification that meets the smelt test.
Millions of dollars wasted - on faulty procurements - and very bad planning.
Again and again - anyone with some sense - can clearly notice the " lack of sound needs assessment " - is lacking - add to that poor leadership - and the SF MTA has set itself for abject failure.
The Human Resources Department linked to the SF MTA is impotent - and the few who operate the Department - dysfunctional. This mess has been on going for the last 10 years.
We need a hearing on this issue - to find out - why is this nonsense being tolerates - while all sorts of excuses made - no one worth the salt - wants to get to the bottom - of the real facts.
Please STOP hoodwinking us in broad daylight - you are testing our patience - and it is not as if - astute and stellar San Franciscans - are NOT aware of the on going - pandemonium.
It takes months to hire the operators - years to fill some positions -while all the time - some upper management - are paid well - with salary increases - that they do not deserve.
For some strange the already SF Health Department - is given a role - in the selection of the operators.
MUNI - applicants made to wait for as long as 8 months - to get hired - waiting for some health test and other unnecessary shallow - formalities.
This nonsense process must be streamed lined - and the SF Health Department protocol linked to hiring - flushed down the commode.
Some independent contractor could do a better job. We know it but do not have the balls - to do the right thing.
We have a Mayor - London Breed - amoral and lacking in standards, less ethics and of course NO standards.
There is a deep connection between the Corona Virus and Transportation that has not been addressed. The filthy conditions on our MUNI buses - will trigger a pandemic - as and when one single Corona affected travels on our MUNI bus - all hell will break loose.
Right now in those languages where announcements are made on MUNI - hygiene must be stressed. It is simply disgusting to watch people spit on the MUNI bus, blow their nose without using tissue, in other cases blow their noses and throw the tissue on the MUNI bus floor and there is more.
The SF Health Department with a $2 Billion plus budget - has failed San Francisco.
We wait to see how the SF Health Department - will respond to the Corona Virus - more when it come to our SF Public Transportation.
Today with all our talk - we have NO sufficient beds for sub-acute patients - our Elders are shipped out. The Mayor - London Breed announces proclamation - without any Blue Print.
Today we lack face masks, respirators - and other necessary equipment to deal with the Cornona Virus - the Mayor London Breed - has failed us - failing to attain standards befitting and decent person. She talks a lot - and that is the extent - of what she can attain - hot air.
Our Muni Buses stink to high heaven, urine, feces, other nasty smells - force one who has some standards of hygiene - to get off the MUNI buses - or else get nauseated - enduring the nasty smell on most of the SF MUNI buses.
Most indigent folks - many have mental issues - do not take a shower for months - get on the MUNI bus - and the decent San Francisco - tax payers have to endure the torture and nasty smells.
The SF Board of Supervisors, the SF County Transportation Authority, the SF Municipal Transportation Agency - all fast asleep at the cockpit.
Decisions are made " remote control " - very little monitoring by transportation experts on Van Ness and Howard Street.
San Bruno Avenue and Geary Avenue, Mission Street - in most places - facing deep congestion and more.
Pollution more PM 2.5 (particulate matter), lead, mercury and other pollution - contributing to chronic reparatory diseases and more.
Listening to the SF Broad of Supervisors - most are nonchalant.
The remarks shallow - one would think they live on another planet.
Get to work - and if it is too hot in the kitchen - get out and stay out.
