Turkey is bent on creating a safe zone - they do not want the Kurds to have control on territory close to Turkey - an area that the Kurds have autonomy - defy the Turks - who are dictatorial by nature - and have in the past treated the Kurds with disdain :

It is hard to betray and then try to give some excuse. Many nations already do NOT trust United States - the Kurds have been taken for a wild ride before and forgiven the United States, the British, the French - but NOT this time around.
Those who died in action - were jointly honored as comrades - not much is know about this deep affection - that is built day in and day out.
Caring and looking after one another - often the orders were given by the U.S. Special Forces - the required action executed by the Syrian Democratic Forces - to perfection.
The Turkish Erdogan and the idiot we have in the White House - have been planning this "plot " for a long time - and experts have revealed the doings.
