The Muwekma Ohlone has gone out of its way to establish continuity during an era that made it difficult for the entire nation to have some semblance.
After 1906 we had the Great Depression, followed by World War II - Muwekma men joined the Department of Defense - in the War effort.
Then we had a long period the Whites forced innocent indigenous children to go to sordid boarding schools to be brainwashed.
Imagine forcing the children to eat food that they were not familiar with. Forcing them not to speak their language - and speak English that was very foreign to them.
Other factors - all adversely the indigenous people - the current Department of Interior - and its leadership - must take into account all these Cumulative Adverse Impacts - and not mandate any Tribe to create data that was practically impossible to gather.
