HOW PRISTINE IS THE HETCH HETCHY WATER? WHY DOES THE SF PUBLIC UTILITIES NOT RELEASE MORE WATER INTO THE TUOLUMNE RIVER? WHO IS LYING ABOUT THE STATE OF AFFAIRS?

 

The Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is close to Yosemite National Park.

We have had several workshops with some stellar and astute advocates who love nature and our rivers - to reveal the many deficiencies linked to the operations of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the Hetch Hetch Reservoir.

The wisdom of the indigenous people is left out in these discussions - contaminated with greed and a lack of empathy for the situation at hand. The SF Public Utilities Commission is kicking the can down the street.

The salmon need the water - the hatcheries say they can help - the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission could care less about the salmon.

The Raker Act of 1913 was negotiated to provide water to the parties who needed water for irrigation - clean drinking water for San Francisco - the 1906 Earthquake caught the City and County a lesson - we needed water - and we did not have it.

Powerful politicians ganged up on John Muir - whose heart was in the right place. Today, the SF Public Utilities Commission - seems to know everything. Their arrogance and ignorance are second to none.

The SF Public Utilities Commission does not pay keen attention to the advocates - and this circus cannot go on forever.

Water is Life. We here in San Francisco know that a third of the Hetch Hetchy water is sold to Big Corporations.

The clean drinking water often is contaminated - after it is used to cool operations - be it in the Computer industry - or other industries - the contaminated water - adversely impacts the Watershed.

The recent times - here in San Francisco - groundwater is added - and when this is done - the pristine water from Hetch Hetchy is compromised.

Spiritually speaking, the indigenous tribes, be it the Miwok, the Piutes, or the Mono tribe - consider the water from the confluence of the rivers in and around the Tuolumne river - Sacred. 

Those greedy have NO right to call the water we drink in San Francisco pristine. Often times it stinks, and I have brought this fact to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

San Francisco receives its clean drinking water from 1600 miles away - few know about this fact. The water was stolen from the indigenous people. Today we use clean drinking water to flush our toilet and have the audacity to deprive the salmon - by failing to release water from the Hetch Hetchy dam into the Tuolumne River.

We have one thousand two hundred miles of clean water - and only forty percent of those pipes have been replaced.

We, the taxpayers, were promised that the data would be given to us from time to time - in the last two and half years - no mention of the replacement linked to clean drink water pipes.

We know that many of the sixty percent of the drinking pipes leak - leech into the ground.

Those in authority do not know they are lying when they do not conserve millions of gallons of clean drinking water.

San Franciscans conserve water - so much so - that the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission - knows this affects their budget - the people save the arrogant authorities - squander.

Adding contaminated groundwater to Sacred pristine drinking water from Hetch Hetchy reservoir is a desecration of the highest order.

The SF Public Utilities Commission must respect the advocates - remember, John Muir is on our side.

Now the Hetch Hetchy is inundated to serve the greed of some - who will fall flat on their face. These folks are non-indigenous and have no standards, morals, or ethics. Aho.

THE SF CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO - FOR DECADES FAILED TO APPOINT COMMISSIONERS - COMPROMISED QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES - NOW INEXPERIENCED FOLKS - SINGING THE BLUES.

 

Too many skyscrapers - contributing to the depletion of the Ozone layer - the SF Board of Supervisors and the Mayor London Breed would not know that. Tall, dense buildings emit more contamination and pollution than any other category.

For decades, the City and County of San Francisco have had loopholes in contracts, operations, and commissions to make policies and enforce them.

It all started in 1996, and you know who was the Mayor - then. He is still dipping like a dipstick - screwing innocent people's life.

The SF Planning Department failed to address affordable housing to those making eighty thousand and below - focused on market price housing and gave expeditors like Walter Wong to have a field day. 

Imagine it takes five years to get entitlements, and only the filthy BIG wealthy developers who have access to dark money - can fork up the money - and leach on those who have money to own market price homes and condominiums.

The SF Board of Supervisors rubber-stamped projects needing in-depth assessment, accountability, and transparency.

The ordinance mandates any amount over ten million comes to the SF Board of Supervisors for approval.

Again and again, we saw - SF City Departments spending over ten million - and the Supervisors looked the other way - approving the projects, and now the SF Board of Supervisors wants to establish a Commission such as the Department of Public Works Commission.

Another Commission - on Streets and Sanitation - those on the Commission smell foul - inept and talk in circles.

Dense housing on land that is prone to severe flooding and liquefaction. More contamination from the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. Depleted uranium was tested - recently elevated levels of plutonium in the urine and blood of those tested - living near the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. 

Dwayne Jones put up these banners - all over the hill at Hunters Point - the wind tore them asunder - today, Dwayne Jones is still doing what he does best - using taxpayers' money - to wheel and deal.

Each of these folks - Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr., Secretary of the U.S. Navy Gordon R. England - with intent signed an agreement - to build housing on very contaminated ground. Missing former Supervisor Sophie Maxwell, who agreed to the sordid - agreement.

It is a crying shame how the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, in the year 2022 - thinks nothing much about flushing thousands of toilets flushed every day - with clean drinking water. 

To date - we have not received data - on how many miles remain of the 1200 miles of clean drinking water pipes that have been replaced.

Millions - of clean drinking water leach into the ground - from old pipes, many ninety-five years old.

Fifteen years ago - the SF Planning Department - should have mandated grey water pipes incorporated on all new construction - more skyscrapers.

One building that has done this is the Salesforce building.

In the SF Mission - filthy streets - drug paraphernalia, and used drug needles were everywhere. 

Hillary Ronnen loves to talk but has no clue about the quality of Life issues. 

Hillary Ronnen - has failed miserly to improve - San Francisco -San Bruno Avenue, which has generated millions in taxes - the SF City and County has turned a blind eye - is quick to receive the taxes.

The crosswalk by San Bruno and Felton has faded for three years now. Call the authorities, and no one pays any attention.

Plans are afoot to remove parking - create all sorts of obstacles to our community - all Hillary Ronnen does is smile like a jackass. Jump the gun and speaks from both sides of her mouth.

Now she wants to push for a Cannabis Club right by Walgreens, San Francisco - San Bruno Avenue, and Felton.

Most - folks living in the area - have not been notified - this Cannabis should not be - given a permit to operate by the popular Walgreens - adversely impacting children, youth, and our Seniors.

Stop importing riff-raff on San Bruno and Felton- an area where we have some semblance - now.

As it is - thieves come and steal stuff from Walgreens.

 This same riff-raff will then go and stale Cannabis - they will wait for those buying Cannabis and then steal from them. They will create more nuisance - and no one will address the pandemonium.

More and more, we see those mentally challenged - sleep on our streets on San Bruno Avenue. Some of these folks have not had a bath in months - they stink to high heaven - all in the middle of the pandemic.

We monitor our streets - and stop many Elderly Chinese Americans from getting hurt.

We need those who have received millions of dollars to patrol the streets of San Bruno - which has turned into a second China Town.

We had a shooting at the Round Table Pizza - blood splashed everywhere not long ago.

Daily we hear gunfire - more by San Bruno and Paul Street.

We have all sorts of crime by San Bruno and Silver Avenue.

From Silver Avenue - all the way to Wayland - eighty percent of the stores - have been broken into - money and goods stolen.

I am sure the District Nine Supervisor does not know this - and if she knows - she has not lifted her finger. She is busy - addressing mundane issues - failed to address the severe problems for San Bruno Avenue.

It has been a month now - all our English newspaper vending boxes have been removed from SF San Bruno Avenue.

Recently I saw some of the locations where the English newspaper vending boxes were - and now replaced by Chinese newspapers. 

I think some notice goes out to us decent constituents who pay our taxes - to inform us what the hell is happening.

Also, garbage bins were removed - and only a few were replaced. 

More and more, the City and County of San Francisco - are neglecting Quality of Life issues in our neighborhoods.

THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO - HAS A BUDGET OF MORE THAN $14 BILLION - ALL OVER SAN FRANCISCO - QUALITY OF LIFE COMPROMISED.

 

 

Mayor London Breed has no clue what is happening.

Thousands have left San Francisco - there are 45,000

 vacant homes and millions of square feet of Commerical 

space empty - the Mayor using Twitter to paint a rosy picture - 

the streets dirty, homeless tents, middle-class eroding- compromising, Quality of Life issues.

The City and County of San Francisco have a budget of over $14 Billion - 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.

The current pandemic has hit the City hard - many city employees do not want to return to work.

The constituents of San Francisco - have seen our City - at its lowest - pathetic state of affairs.

Millions of dollars - Stimulus money meant to uplift those in need were squandered - an ongoing audit will reveal the truth.

 SFGOVTV touting workshops, LGBT parades, and all sorts of mundane events - nothing to do with quality services and the upkeep of our City and County of San Francisco.

Thousands of families leaving San Francisco - the impending Recession - lack of quality jobs - the SF City and County in pandemonium - those in charge - astounded, confused - and in utter disarray. 

The many SF City and County Departments and heads of Departments are in disarray - and the city work suffers from severe backlogs. 

Mayor London has partnered with losers like Scott Wiener to create " drug hubs" - where folks can do their drugs - and are provided with paraphernalia to execute the drug habits. 

The Governor of California, Gavin Newsome, shot the plan down.

Down went another stupid idea to keep bars open until 4 am in the morning. This, too, was shot down - we have Seniors and others during this pandemic - who need more peace of mind - and not noise and pandemonium.

Scott Wiener - do not let that smile - fool you.

Scott Wiener is one of those who likes to make headlines while he sidelines those who need help - most. 

Scott Wiener's prominent supporters - " Big Developers " - now have all their projects stalled. Takes four years to get permits to build and one more year for entitlements.

The SF Planning has lost its leadership - kicking the can down the street. 

The SF Department of Building Inspection - still trying to figure out - why the Millenium Building - is sinking and tilting - unstable - with huge cracks all over the building.

The pandemic did not allow one to access the SF City Departments for over two years. Now when you visit the SF City Departments - you hear all sorts of excuses - and most people who want permits - are fed up.

Millions of dollars - flooded San Francisco. Those who made hay while the sun was shining - the inner circle beholden to Mayor London Breed - she is being investigated by know - whom.

Carmen Chu, the former  SFAssessor, took over Naomi Kelly's job - as SF City Administrator. How about creating a Commission linked to the Contract Monitoring Division? How about checkmate Dwayne Jones, who is bidding his time - the FBI - still wheeling and dealing - has made his nest with the SF Port Authority.

Juliet Ellis fooled many - pulled the wool over the eyes in broad daylight. - now, missing in action. Poor Harlan Kelly is singing the blues. His successor General Manager of the SF Public Utilities Commission - Dennis Herrera - laughed all the way to the bank - his annual salary of $450,000. His sidekick Ron Flin - $250,000- has failed to investigate the millions wasted SSIP - project - which started with a budget of $6 Billion - is now $12 Billion and will soon be $20 Billion. 

Justice for All.

We have the Sunshine Task Force that is impotent. The SF Ethics Commission is dysfunctional. 

The SF BOS is now messing with" behested payments" the language is evident when you read Proposition E.

Let - that language stated in Proposition E be in place. 

We do not want anyone to muddy the waters - and that is what is happening - with behested payment - at the ongoing SF Ethics commission. 

San Franciscans are astute and know how to uplift one another.

We did this during the pandemic - stepping up and ensuring our elders and those who most needed help were helped.

We saw others take Stimulus money and pocket the money - all while doing nothing - looking the other way - while thousands were suffering.

The sellouts, primarily Black, must be ashamed of themselves - when they do wrong, they must be punished. Now we have the SF City Attorney - backing " Jailbirds," which is wrong.

San Franciscans have the patience - but, like we have seen in the SF Castro - the businesses have decided not to pay taxes unless the daily nuisances they endure - are addressed.

The shooting and killings have increased - and while promises are made, none are kept.

More and more Seniors and that challenged stay at home.

If this vulnerable population - dare to go out - they are assaulted. 

It is like a war zone in many places - pathetic.

All the while, the politicians have a good time - having disdain for those that bring to their attention what to do to improve - more, Quality of Life issues.

If it is too hot in the kitchen, stay out.

The forest around the Hetch Hetch dam - has thick underbrush that has not to been cleared - the U.S. Forest Department is understaffed and under-resourced.

The National Park Service focuses on Yosemite and its surroundings - here too, the recent fires - have ambushed the area - and challenged to incinerate the Sequoia trees - that have stood tall for thousands of years.

The true history and the genocide of indigenous people in California have not been stated with facts.

Director National Park Service Charles Sams III.

The U.S. National Park Service, the U.S. Forest Department - comes under the U.S. Department of Interior - and for the first time, we have a Director for the National Park Service who is Native American - Charles Sam III. 

As most of us know - we also have a U.S. Secretary of Interior - her name is Debbie Harland. She, too, is Native American.

For thousands of years - the indigenous people took care of our Earth. They call her affectionately - " Mother Earth " - have you heard the palefaces - refer to our Earth as Mother Earth - and believe in preserving and protecting her?

The National Park Service was formed in 1916.

The damming of Hetch Hetchy was a great mistake, and those who stole the water must pay restitution. The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission must pay restitution - in the billions of dollars - and this will come about in more than one way.

We take it for granted when some steal and hoodwink in broad daylight and get away with murder, and no one says anything.

It matters more when folks kill and maim infants, children, women, Elders, and those with compromised health - and there is no accountability whatsoever.

Water is life, and water must be used for nourishment and saving and giving life, not for greed.

Large corporations use clean drinking water to cool large computer operations and other related fields. The waste dumped and our watershed - are contaminated. For all the talk, there is no walk.

We have large corporations - tapping into our watershed, our streams, and sources of pristine water from our glaciers - making trillions of dollars - bottling the water in plastic bottles and contaminating the Earth.

One has to research the Lyell Glacier, the source of much of the pristine water flowing into the many rivers in the Yosemite area. Every year the Lyell Glacier  - melts, and soon, there will be very little to give.

The Tuolumne River  - its water holds little water - the adverse impacts to the salmon - atrocious - the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission could release some water - will not - and for this, they will be held - accountable. Make no bones about it. 

It is high time the Director of the National Park Service - Charles Sams III - gathers all the tribes of Northern California - and addresses the serious issues facing Mother Earth.

Calfornia governors - sent edict to kill and murder the indigenous - and for each scalp - one could fetch a measly - $5.

The U.S. Army - led by White Officers - killed women and children - just because they could bully the indigenous - we must not forget these standing atrocities - that cry to heaven for justice.

It is a shame in 2022 - many tribes have to fight the U.S. courts, the National Park Service, and the Department of Interior - to seek a fair hearing - and justice. Federal Recognition.

It is time for the Secretary of Interior - Debbie Harlan - reviews those seeking Federal Recognition - all over California. More those tribes who were once recognized and then illegally removed - by a rogue Department of Indian Affairs - L.A. Dorrington.

We know that firewalls exist- those in charge and not forwarding documents to the Secretary of Interior - for review - this nonsense must STOP.

As a Marine who served our nation, the Secretary of Interior -  her father a Marine - must do right - Semper Fidelis.

No tribe with DNA data, proof of continuity as a tribe, artifacts and human remains - carbon dated going back thousands of years - history of torture and destitution - and yet beg for Federal Recognition here on Turtle Island.

I have met Superintendents from the National Park Service who love to kick the can down the street.

A couple of former Directors and written to them from the National Park Services - they make promises and stay the easy way out - they look the other way. Time for severe transparency and accountability.

We now have indigenous representation - President Joe Biden better rise to the occasion - stand tall, and resolve the many pressing issues facing the indigenous tribes.

No tribe that exercised its Right of First Refusal - recognized from 1906 to 1927 and removed illegally - no tribe should be pressing for recognition - when the tribe was already identified, vetted, recognized, and put on the Federal Register.

Col. Charles Young - could have been a General - graduated from West Point. Col. Charles Young was one of the most outstanding soldiers - who belonged to the famous Buffalo Soldiers.

Col. Charles Young wrote the Standard Operating Procedures - how to manage the Federal lands - today's Yosemite National Parks, Sequoia National Parks, and so on.

Col. Charles Young, a Black man - was denied many of his rights. He rode his horse from his town to Wilberforce, Ohio, to Washington DC - to prove he was healthy enough and could command and lead the Buffalo Soldiers - in the ongoing war in Europe.

As usual, the White Secretary of War was not persuaded - racism of the worst order - that prevails even to this day - in many quarters - the U.S. Department of Defense.

The Native Americans - gave the name to the Buffalo Soldiers - with whom they had a unique relationship. 

The Buffalo is respected by all indigenous people.

It is a shame the paleface killed thousands of Buffalo for the fur - and left heaps and tons of Buffalo flesh to rot - such atrocities - will come to haunt those that committed such actions - sooner nor later.

The Buffalo came to near extinction - some worthy indigenous and like-minded supporters - have started Buffalo farms - and reservations - and brought the Buffalo back into the game - they roam freely, and I have seen them with my own eyes. What dignity!

After 1906 we had the Great Depression, followed by World War II - Muwekma men joined the Department of Defense - in the War effort.

Then we had a long period the Whites forced innocent indigenous children to go to sordid boarding schools to be brainwashed.

Imagine forcing the children to eat food that they were not familiar with. Forcing them not to speak their language - and speak English that was very foreign to them.

Other factors - all adversely the indigenous people - the current Department of Interior  - and its leadership - must take into account all these Cumulative Adverse Impacts - and not mandate any Tribe to create data that was practically impossible to gather.

The Muwekma Ohlone have been very patient - the Muwekma Ohlone have been tolerant - the Muwekma Ohlone have a logical reason - why Federal Recognition was in place in 1906 - and at no time did the United States - revoke the Federal Recognition.
