"NURSING THE WORLD TO HEALTH" - IS THE THEME CHOSEN - ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE'S 200TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY - LET GOOD STUFF HAPPEN.

In my work I meet many doctors, nurses, others from the medical field - and I am always impressed by nurses and the work they do - I say to the world  with gusto - " nurses do God's work ".

Nurses deserve our " utmost respect " - and more we keep them in our prayers and good actions. Good actions count - they bring blessings in waves and heal those that are suffering.

Most nurses have their heart in the right place - and with their hearts in the right place - they can heal and they do heal.

There is nothing more blessed - than the kind touch, soft words, and deep compassion of any nurse.

We humans cannot be treated like robots, we need our nurses - and we respectfully request to give our nurses the respect and tools to do their work. Also please compensate them for their work - more over time and when they are put in harm way.

Often times when a patient awakens - sometimes from a coma - the first thing the patient - want to see and talk to - is the nurse.

I will repeat nurses do God's work - which means - they give their best to the patients they serve - and earn the utmost respect not only from the patient, the doctors, the hospital administrator, the many working on the various teams - that make the operation of any good hospital - smooth.

Today we celebrate International Nurses Day 2020 - and the theme chosen " Nursing the world to Health " - so appropriate as the world is addressing NOVEL COVID-19 virus - that has caused havoc all over the world - a pandemic not seen ever - in recent times.

The last time we have witness such a horrendous scenario - may be in 1916 when that pandemic - cheated thousands of lives - and now we see it again.

Today we celebrate Florence Nightingale's
200th birthday - she left a legacy -
she was humble - yet daring -  and focused
her heart in the right place - as do many of our nurses.

Florence Nightingale put all nurses on the world map - creating procedures where hygiene, a modality to work as a team, and create the best of aid, empathy, and compassion to the soldiers - who came into her care and which long after her death - she was remembered - she left a legacy.

Today we have witnessed how in the United States of all places - we let our guard down - did not have the required masks, personal protective equipment, respirators, ventilators, swaps that are used to collect specimens, other necessary tools - needed to save lives.

I will say nurses, doctors, medical technicians, janitors, and many others involved in the care of patients - work as a team - and often time - nurses lead when it comes to care - and do God's work.

Many times the nurses and doctors cannot fight for their rights.

The advocates only can fight for anyone - and for sure those who do God's work - are high on their list.

I have written many article - voiced my concerns - witnessed the lack of sensitivity among politicians, insurance companies, others who are more interested in money and less in saving life.

In is not easy on anyone that has a " heart " to witness the lack of Personal Protective Equipment - other necessary tools and materials for the doctors, nurses, other critical medical staff - missing - and using soiled PPE and other things - again and again - not following our Centers of Diseases Control and Prevention laws and regulations - here in the United States.

How could we possible have been so reckless and insensitive - in January 2020 - sending millions of masks to China - and then throwing our hands up - and begging other Nations for masks for our own use?

We have learned quickly that we have a system for  health care - that has to be completed revamped.

We must focus on the health brokers and health insurance companies - acting like vultures - involved in the stocking of medicines and medical equipment.

These vultures who are into GREED - and do an injustice to our doctors, nurses, other medical staff - putting money and profit first - and to hell with health, life, empathy, compassion - and the goodwill that most human beings who have their heart in the right place - put first.

The injustice done over many months - putting our doctors, nurses, medical technicians, janitors other medical staff - in harms way - depriving them of medical equipment - is something - we must take to heart and ratify.

There have been too many meetings - beating around the bush - there have been too much diatribe from politicians - who wag that tongue that has no bone - spewing diatribe and hot air.

Doctors, nurses, janitors, medical technicians, others too many to name should be at the table - where the decision making is done and more implemented.

We  must listen to their pleas - and we must put it in writing - never again should we repeat the mistakes made - and as I said putting it in writing - comes with transparency and accountability.

Our Pharmaceutical Corporations, our Insurance Companies, our Administrators working with the above greedy entities - others that we know and can name - but will not at this juncture - because the focus right now is to do the right thing.

We are a Super Power and in the past - putting politics aside - ordinary Americans have done their best to be fair - and come to the rescue and assistance of those that are hurting - all over the world.

Here - at home some of the leading doctors, nurses, experts are from countries like India, China, the Middle East, Europe - other places - they are here in the United States - to serve in the medical field but also to serve humanity at large.

We witness these medical experts - express their sentiments and when asked their subjective opinions - and we are all proud to be American citizens first - always having empathy and compassion - and aiding our Sisters and Brothers - all over the world.

We cannot remain quiet and look the other way - when our nurses, doctors, janitors, other medical staff members have fallen victim to NOVEL COVID-19 virus - not only in the United States but all over the world.

Even as we honor our Nurses and those in the medical field - and respect them as best we can - we must uphold our world health organization and entities - much as we attempt to do our Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Let me put it this way - all doctors take an oath not do harm.

Nurses too agree - with this concept and mandate of the oath.

Here is one article for those that care to read - the Hippocratic Oath - there is much more than the Hippocratic Oath :

Most - decent human beings - all over the world - want the best for our infants, our children, our youth.

Our young adults, Adults as a whole - our Elders, those with compromised health - more our mentally and physically challenged.

In the year 2020 - again and again smaller nations have had to deal with trials and tribulation. Again and again other Nations that can help have help eradicating malaria, curbing the spread of Ebola, working as a team - the World Health Organization that was established April 7, 1948 - headquartered in Switzerland.

In the year and more the decade set aside to honor the nurses who do God's work - we can resolve to put aside politics and focus on the healing which is a spiritual aspect that many do not want proclaim.

If one heart is not in the right place - it is difficult to deal with those that that are selfish - as we have witness - the one so called leader - who makes his abode in the White House.

We cannot be putting down the World Health Organization - deprive them of funding - when the funding addresses everyone -all world citizens.

If the WHO made a mistake - we now are looking at all things and all parties - with more transparency and accountability. Let us keep politics away - and let not politics - interfere with healing - more dirty politics.

Let us not be petty - printing our own money - and trying to proclaim that we have the money - and since the dollar is at the moment - given some credence - but that will NOT be for long.

We must STOP bullying - and those Nations that make mistakes - better own up - sooner not later - right now the World Health Organization needs our attention and our assistance - more financial.

Our sincere thanks to our nurses and midwives - our doctors, janitors, medical technicians, all those medical staff members - that we honor - God bless you all. Aho.
