Our Veterans have given their best - on the battle field - and today our Veterans are dying - under circumstance - dubious in nature.
Veterans choose to spent their last days - in the Senior Living Homes where they wanted to spend their days in peace - with fellow Veterans in solidarity.
Living their last days - as best they could - robbed of their life - by this raging pandemic - NOVEL COVID-19 virus.
We were nonchalant - took it for granted - we thought better - that was not to be - good, better, best - our Veterans should have deserved the best.
We learn unfortunately that was not to be - our Veterans lacked many of the things that had to be in place - those who should have been alive - are not - our hearts are heavy and we grieve.
The Senior Living Homes are monitored by the Federal and State authorities - specially created - to take care of our vulnerable population - Elders be they Veterans - many suffering from underlying ailments - so what is really - happening?

I sounded the alarm some two months ago - about the Veterans - and today around 1000 Veterans have been laid to rest.
Most - of them from the Senior Living Homes - where each chose to spend their lives - with other Veterans - in War as in Life - living and hoping to make the best of their sojourn on this Earth - before they crossed the other side.
I am reminded again and again of Letterman Army Medical Center and Letterman Army Institute of Research - both stellar and astute institutions - that took great care of our Veterans.
These one of kind institutions were located at the Presidio of San Francisco.
Each institution played a key role more during the Viet Nam war - when 58,000 soldiers who lost their lives - were returned to the United States and they first STOP was San Francisco.
There were one of a kind freezers where the bodies were kept - so we needed special attention - before they were shipped all over the Nation.
We prepared ourselves again - during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
However - prematurely - this War ended soon - all the preparation for a dastardly eventuality - did not take place.
Even thought preparations were in place - we did NOT have to activate the entire massive operation - to face the reality of the moment - we were ready.

Recently we celebrated Veterans' Day
at the Officers' Club -
honoring Rick Penn a Veteran and also
a Ranger with the National Park Service -
honor him for his service before retiring .
And then there were other Veteran Hospitals that provided sufficient support when it came to the health and hospital needs for our beloved - Veterans - one in San Francisco, another in Palo Alto and in other places that served our Veterans in California as best they could.
As the Congressional Liaison of Sixth United States Army and Presidio of San Francisco - serving the twelve Western States - I did my best to help the Veterans.
I continue to fight for the Veterans - each and every one can - those of us - that love our Nation - and more those that have the best interests - of our population some 340 million.
We also helped the soldiers - from the other on going wars and skirmishes.
We learned a lot from Desert Storm - Desert Shield.
That singular War involved the Reservists - for the first time - The Reservists as opposed to an all active U.S. Army.
Many women soldiers - who all went into war with gusto - and even though the war lasted less than a year - most came home with all sorts of health ailments and complications - and suffer to this day.
Some said it was the vaccines the U.S. soldiers received - others say the nefarious Chemicals that our soldiers - were exposed to - sent their way - by Iraqi Saddam Hussein - his last attempt to fend those that wanted to capture him alive.
God alone knows - what nefarious calamities befell our women and men soldiers.
We know all of them suffered for many years - and still suffer.
I still keep in touch with many - and they all still do what they can do - keeping their head high.
The fact is the soldiers went into battle - healthy and came out unhealthy.
Within some months - we all witnessed what we never accepted to see unfold before our very eyes - many of the ailments - took them to diagnose - and to this day - many of the ailments have not.
As we were all in this together - knew many first hand - we kept in touch - we lost many and we still keep in touch - with those still making a living.
Desert Storm - Desert Shield took a heavy toll on us all - we had to fight for the soldiers to get their health benefits - a fight that lasted over 15 years. We won.
Recently I took a look at the commendations, the medals, the many letters of Appreciation that I received.
The deep memories flashed back - then all of a sudden I felt - the present time - with the NOVEL COVID-19 virus - raging and taking a toll - of many vulnerable in its path.
Accept now - if an Elder Veteran - anyone who is a Senior - with underlying ailments - is struck by this present plague - few survive.
The enemy - a nasty NOVEL COVID-19 virus - raging unscathed - has taken - us all by surprise - every single day - revealing some new - baffling the epidemiologists, the scientists - all those fight this pandemic of sorts.
Today we have a tally of those who are victims of the NOVEL COVID-19 virus - the prediction according the some model - in a couple of months - the United States - will register over 100,000 victims - victims of this current - pandemic.
It has been a difficult two and half months - many of us cooped up at home.
Here in San Francisco - the moderate climate and strong winds - have kept the air clean - and the virus in check.
The vehicles spewing dangerous particulates - more PM 2.5 have been reduced to a minimum - the air is cleaner and the blue skies - give one sense reassurance - even as we take it - one day at a time.
When the sun is really shinning - and the weather is warm - I dare to go out - and take a walk.
Lucky for me I can take a long walk - where few congregate - return home - take a shower and feel - well.
All my life I have been active - trying to walk - which is the best exercise for me.
In my younger days I boxed, played all contact sports - even though I wore a brace - and do now - and most of you that know me, very well - sports was something I treasured.
Those that I influenced who played field hockey, cricket, other sports men and women - are spread all over the world.
It is amazing what sports can do - bring everyone together - the unique aspect is the solidarity - ever lasting friendship - one of a kind.
Here is San Francisco we lack sound leadership - the leadership did not have a clue about the many facets a pandemic brings to the fore.

Mayor Mayor London Breed - keeps shouting and screaming - and telling us what to do and what not to do.
The Mayor has NOT taken care of the nurses and doctors - failed to have a vision - had no clue about respirators, less ventilators, even less Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and so on.
For starters the doctors and nurses that need help can be accommodated - in the many empty hotel rooms. We are paying - tax payers money - $80 a day for the thousands of rooms - that are NOT - occupied.
The frontline workers need it after a hard days work.
One of two hotels can be set aside for the frontline warriors.
At this stage - after months - no one needs to tell the authorities what to do and what not to do.
As I have been saying - we do not have a qualified - well experienced Incident Management Commander - in charge.
What we have right now - are lackeys - who have degrees but none - remotely connected to a Pandemic and the sciences.
We witness the buffoonery at the National Level - those that have experience and those that do not.
Most everything at SF City Hall is quiet.
City Hall is very quiet - there is no one to man or woman the telephones.
If someone wants something - you leave a message - and you can leave several messages - and no one gets back to you.
Such behavior is the hight of madness - and leads to utter pandemonium.
San Francisco has a budget of over $12.7 Billion - yes, BILLION.
The SF Controller's Office - Ben Rosenfield needs to look into this matter - utter disregard - for the tax payers - that pay their salaries.
We also need a " needs assessment " on the work done by the so called " employees who are deem necessary to perform the required service " can we have a Blue Print - a play book.
From reports that I am getting most are having a field day - and being payed for screwing around - yes, screwing around which has perturbed many of us - it is our tax payers money.
The Office of Emergency Service - has thousands of employees deemed " essential workers " - yet we have NO clue - who defines " essential " - " and more essential workers " - more importantly - what are the out comes.
Stop wasting tax payers money - in the millions - and STOP billing the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) - FEMA too in funded and paid by the tax payers.
Also it is disgusting to inform the public to call 311 for everything - that is not what 311 - and the dispatchers are for.
The dispatchers have a mission to accomplish daily.
The dispatchers are not there to receive petty calls - and mundane silly calls - where to seek help - such as information that the City and County can provide and maintain data.
Let us not SLAVE this dispatchers - the work of the dispatchers - is to man the telephone and deal with emergencies in a Pandemic - please do NOT - treat the dispatchers like robots.
Again and again NO " needs assessment " has been done on the many cases leading to " domestic violence ".
No data revealed with the increase in calls for " suicides".
No data revealed on how many San Franciscans have died at home from NOVEL COVID-19 virus - those dying at home and not in a hospital are not counted.
We the people need to know - about the many " hot spots " among them those living in congregate living - our Senior Living Homes - hundreds dying and on the verge of dying.

What is happening at the Senior Living Congregate setting the Jewish Home of the Aged - at Silver and Mission - what is really happening at this Jewish Senior Living Complex - close to a neighborhood that mostly has LatinX constituents living.
While the entire world is wondering why so many LatinX constituents - are dying of the pandemic - in the Mission and elsewhere?
Stop forcing us to reveal the many hidden factors that we know off - and which the City and County of San Francisco - has failed to maintain standards and more enforce the standards.
Too many skeletons that we know off and can reveal at a moment's notice.
We are now favoring some segments of our population - fat cats - favoring some while leaving our truly " essential workers " - janitors, those that work in our Supermarkets, those that deliver necessary goods - you get the picture - more LatinX constituents - in large measure - dying - fallen prey to the NOVEL COVID-19 virus.
As it is - these essential workers - work hard - not like the City Mangers - who are pussyfooting around.
Some leave a message on the telephone recorders - that they have left down and will return - after some days - and some after some weeks.
We have not seen the end of this pandemic.
There is a bigger one coming this FALL and another this WINTER.
We humans those who do not see - the hand of God - in the current pandemic - are foolish.
This pandemic is completely different unlike any other pandemic that has visited us in the last 800 years. Yes, 800 years.
Unlike a vaccine - in the past - one like flu or polio.
We can study the above two - the flu and the polio vaccine - study the work of Dr Francis Salk - and learn more.
The current pandemic - linked to NOVEL COVID-19 virus - is convoluted - evolving - and we are still confounded - yes confounded.
We have never created a vaccine - that can deal with several ailments at once - do not listen to these so called experts - who deem they are God and will create a vaccine in a year's time - it is more like 3 years.
We need to go through the many stages - if we take short cuts - it will give false hopes - and false hopes will lead to " spikes " - one single spikes that take down millions.
Our population is in the United States is 340 million.
It is not impossible that a couple of million die - if we fail to do the right thing - it is simple wrong to open everything - right now - because one man - be he a buffoon wants to win an election.
Screw him - so far he has not achieved anything - accept failed us - on every front - the man does not wear a mask - has disdain for the law - has not revealed his taxes - we all do - lies and lying is part of his DNA.
His stay at the White House has tarnished the good name of the United States - the idiots never served his Nation - yet, he wants to call himself a Commander in Chief.
This pandemic adversely impacts many organs - the heart, the lungs, the liver, the kidney - blood clots - and fluid in the lungs when it comes to the Senior our Elders.
Young children suffering from ailment the likes of Kawasaki - one wonders what else - and all this and more - is baffling to the epidemiologists - and other specialist and scientists - some of whom I know and I am in contact with.
This pandemic will take at least 3 years to be dealt with - and those that want to play with fire - that is on them.
Again do not listen to the buffoon from the White House - he wants everything opened - to serve himself and boost his ego - he will fail and lose the 2020 election.
He is playing with FIRE.
As to San Francisco - those purporting to represent us - who do not have family values - the entire SF Emergency Department - is full of them - pussyfooting around - none of them have qualified experience - none educated how to handle a pandemic - no one in charge - much like an INCIDENT MANAGEMENT COMMANDER.
No one can fool - all the people - all the time.
This land - each and every square inch belongs to the indigenous the people - GREED has contaminated - everything - God sees it all.
The Elders know better - and long before this pandemic came about - the prophecies - were revealed - and only those spiritual understood - what was said.
This plague attacks the organs - and stuns the body - stalls the heart - fills the lung with sordid fluids - attacks children and is mean to the Elders - and no one vaccine can address this malady.
We do not have a Dr Francisco Salk - a spiritual man - who created the first vaccine for the flu - few know that.
Then Dr Francis Salk want to create the Polio vaccine and is more know for that. He was asked - why does he not patent his work and make money.
He resorted if the Sun was for sale - the Sun that shines on all of us and we take for granted - creates life - would we so along and pay money.
Long gone are those days - where women and men - whose heart was in the right place - it was not about GREED it was above LOVE - there can be no LOVE with SACRIFICE.
These monsters who want to make money - will NOT succeed.
It is not because I am against vaccines - I was a victim of polio and should know better.
This this time around - the situation is completely around - completely different - without the spiritual angle - taken into consideration - everything is for nought.
Our indigenous Elders know more - but no one is consulting them.
Our Elders by far - indigenous have always spoken Truth to Power.
