In the United States we seem to be immune to the millions incarcerated - ten percent of our population some 340 million.
Our jails are jammed packed - and America - seem oblivion to the true facts - most feeding on concepts - that have nothing to do with the situation.
Those incarcerated - have among them - thousands charged for no reason that has been validated - and deserves incarceration.
The cases long pending cannot be adjudicated - many a time - because the victim cannot afford bail. A paltry amount of $200 or $500 - lingering in jail for years.
Some one has BLOOD on their hands.
We Americans say - one is innocent until proven guilty.
Easily said than done - and as one investigates cases after case - over forty percent - should not be in jail.
Now, lighting has struck - suddenly and this turning point has arrived - NOVEL COVID-19 virus - has shown its invisible ugly head and is bitting the authorities, the warden, the many governors in the butt.
Our jails are the contemporary - slave plantations.

While a few attorneys and lawyers, some Non-Profit take on a few pro-bono cases.
Much more has to be done - to first reveal the true facts and gradually but certainly - bring about sound adjudication.
The name of the United States has been tarnished - when it comes to justice and fair play - empathy and compassion - crimes against humanity daily - staring at us all - in the thousands.
We just cannot look at all those incarcerated as murderers - mean folks.
All of these incarcerated folks - having serious psychological problems - thinking that these mean folks who deserve to linger in jail - and die. Such thoughts may come to one - bit there is no sense - condemning- those who have made mistakes - repent - and can contribute to society. Most of those who have made mistakes - not felonies.
We must look at our families - and ponder how many among those we know relatives and fiends are carceratmed - then look into the situation - and there is a mine of evidence - that most of those incarcerated - do NOT deserve jail time - they could be treated fairly - released - and could contribute to Society.
All the main Faith oriented religions - be it Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Muslim - others - all call upon humanity to show mercy and to stand for justice.
We do better at the Hague - the International Courts - more when it comes to " crimes agains humanity ".
Our Nation - the United States of America - must now ponder and delve deep into our sordid ways.
Invest those who failed to do right - using incarceration - as some tool to - rid some of issues - that can be dealt in a more humane manner.
Time to charge those that have perpetuated - unnecessary incarceration - they have BLLOD of their hands.
Some wardens have confessed to me - how pressure has been exerted to exercise - harshness - and empathy, compassion, and all that is wholesome - on the back burner.

This NOVEL COVID-19 virus - has hit us all hard - more our Elders, our infants, children, youth, young adults - those with compromised health - more of physically and mentally challenged.
This pandemic is all over the world - here in the United States - we took stringent measures late - and used tools like " Stay at Home " to keep the NOVEL COVID-19 virus - at bay.
We cannot apply the " Stay at Home " policy in our jails in America.
Seeing is believing - those incarcerated - are stacked high - and those in authority - do not give a dam - about rehabilitation - all they want - is to make money.
They sanitary situation in our jails is pathetic. One tiny piece of soap shared among many.
Forget about providing bleach and other products to disinfect - the areas most needed - in the jails - the hypocrites - more the wardens and the jail guards - do not have much to say - and what is realistic - many of these jail guards look funny wearing masks - many of them in line to suffer from the NOVEL COVID-19 virus.
Billions has been made - all sorts of industries - making furniture, tags for cars and other uses.
Even programing and data input, where there are farms - growing and harvesting, and the many other things done - using cheap labor - 10 cents an hour - and those who vouch for such sordid " primitive and nefarious activities " - themselves need to be charged - and if found guilty - jailed.
The NOVEL COVID-19 virus - has now visited thousands of jails - some in large measure - and those in charge - wardens, jail guards and others - are at their " wits end " and rightly so.

Now at last - at the eleventh hour - many of these notorious authorities - are weak in the knees, faint of heart - pulling their hair and teeth - and do not know - what to do.
Now is the time - to release all those - that can be released - our Sisters and Brothers.
As I said a full forty percent - are lingering in jail - waiting to have some trial - and judges and fed up - hearing cases -when the matter could have been resolved - at the time the incident happened.
Those incarcerated will tell you - again and again - a human being steals something worth a couple of dollars - and other charges are added - assaulting the police officer, and a host of other charges - fabricated in the incident report.
This shit must STOP - and the time has come - to send a clear message to those who must PROTECT - must choose to do - right - stick to the penal code.
God watches everything - and rogue police officers - bring a bad name to the entire police force.

The NOVEL COVID-19 virus - as I have stated - most of our jails - many in larger measure - and sent chills down the spine of the authorities - the wardens have NO standard operating procedures to deal with the situation at hand.

Imagine having a situation - where human beings - who are incarcerated - are stacked - more resembling a " chicken coup " - and then suddenly - the jail guards appear wearing masks - those incarcerated - have to suffer - they cannot keep the six foot distance - and this and many other - so called policies - defy common sense.
