Visitacion Valley Elementary School in San Francisco - has already suffered a lot. Anyway one looks at the situation at hand - the children suffer. This injustice cries to heaven for justice.
Recently, the SF Unified School District - more the Superintendent - one Deputy Superintendent linked to Cohort 4 - is hell bent to remove a Black woman Principal - from Visitation Valley Elementary School.
This injustice - will not be tolerated.
The - the NAACP and other organizations worth the salt - are being apprised - and soon the SF Unified School District - will experience a " Deep " reality check.
Using memos the Deputy Superintendent is sending out messages to the parents - from Visitation Valley Elementary School - talking in general term - about the Principal.
A protocol has to be established how upper Management is failing the SF Unified School District. Practically every school - coming under SFUSD is besieged - and chapters from documents about Restorative Justice and other models quoted.
What about orientation for the Deputy Superintendents - on stellar and astute communication principles. Being educated on issues - transparency and accountability.
If you are on the " shit list " of the Management - they can access your email - infiltrate information - make changes - and all that and more - is illegal.
Challenging the Principal not to return to Visitation Valley Elementary School - where the Principal has invested herself - putting many important issues on track.
Providing over 80 computers to the children - they had none before. Clean the cafeteria - providing amenities that did not exists before, listening to the children and to the parents.
The Principal created the African American Parents Group - that has their first Black History event - and it was a success.
The SFUSD has not been pushing for cultural competency except talking about it - you can talk the talk - but can you walk the walk.
The Principal has not been given an opportunity to present her side of the story - and this intimidating is totally uncalled for - San Francisco Unified School District - will be held fully responsible - make no bones about it. More the current Superintendent - Vincent Mathew who has been pussyfooting around.
The SF Unified School District should NOT be involved in politics - ploys and machinations - but this is what is happening.
These few parents gathered to protest
some months ago - there are more than
130 students at Visitacion Valley Elementary School.
Parents who have NO clue about the duties of the Principal - want her to serve as a referee - twins in Grade I - causing a ruckus - each and every day - for months on end - assaulting other children in the class - and causing a ruckus.
The SF Unified School District - has no protocol how to handle such a situation - and does not consider - segregation as an option - preferring the play this scene out - in the classroom day in and day out - Monday to Friday.
Now that the Mother of the twins is debarred from the school - and the twins given some consideration - but not allowed to come to the school - it remain for the experts and the SF Police Department - to consider the necessary - options.
The teacher in charge cannot touch the children - and this nonsense went on for months - until one Black child - a boy - was assaulted and had a head concussion.
Taken to the hospital the child need psychiatrist to check him out.
The psychiatrist - is now trying to help the child as best one can - and all this and more - is over bearing to the grandmother - who is at her wits end.
All this happened when the SF Police Department Ingallside Station - had to put a retraining order on the Mother of the twins - who defied the Visitation Valley Elementary School Principal and others - for months on end.
Traumatizing the children - and no one has attended to the welfare of the children as a whole.
This is totally uncalled for - putting innocent children - with intent in peril - and traumatizing them for no reason at all.
To add fuel to fire - the Deputy Superintendent in charge of Cohort 4 - entertained the disgruntled parents mostly American Chinese - some are averse to having Black children in their children's class.
One American Chinese teacher - decided to clear her desk - and leave the school - just because the Principal - as part of the annual evaluation - pointed to some areas where she could improve.
When the Principal found some accounting documents were missing - keys that had to turned over - not accounted for.
When the Principal informed the SF Unified School Management - the Principal got NO support.
The Deputy Superintendent - linked to Cohort 4 - was actively supporting the disgruntled teacher and some parents that the disgruntled teacher was enticing daily - to cause disruptions.
This is the United States of America - we are a Nation of Laws - Justice and Fair play.
No Principal, no student, no teacher - everyone must be treated in a Fair and Just - manner.
Again and again - at every SF Unified School District Board meeting - the atmosphere turns into a circus.
Parents venting, student speaking for justice after experiencing blatant - discrimination.
The SF Unified School parents - deprived of transparency - good teachers, coaches, others terminated - without involving the parents - what is happening to SFUSD management?
I interviewed 20 parents and all of them are satisfied and respect the present Black Principal.
More - because unwanted characters - more few disgruntled teachers - some entities that have nothing to do with the school - are causing a ruckus from outside.
While the Principal was away - the Mother of the twins - decided to take on other parents - one thing led to another - and on two occasions - parents were brawling - in front of the children - this is completely uncalled for.
At the last SF Unified School - Rev Amos Brown from the NAACP joined me - asking the SF Unified School District - to be fair and foster justice.
The NAACP is poised to bring justice to the Principal of Visitacion Valley Elementary School - and revoke the shenanigans, ploys, and machinations - carried on by the Deputy Superintendent - linked to Cohort 4.
Paradoxically one Black woman the Deputy Superintendent and head of Cohort 4 - had gone out of her way to target the Black Principal - another Black woman - this nefarious and dubious " crab mentality " must stop.
Blacks in San Francisco - now, have resigned to play second fiddle - and NO one really wants to come out in defense of the innocent.
On this one case - we are ready to stand shoulder to shoulder - as I declared three weeks ago - I am not about to give up.
Do not force me to get the Federal Bureau of Investigation into this sordid situation.
Some American Chinese parents at the school - trying to bribe others - passing out red envelopes with money - using other illegal methods to create " divisiveness " - this nonsense must STOP, now.

The SF Unified School District Superintendent - Vincent Mathews is fast asleep at the cockpit - he has failed to investigate - and has let this latest episode - get our of control.
