BOTH DEMOCRATS AND THE REPUBLICANS - HAVE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS - WE CAN CURTAIL MASS SHOOTINGS - BY USING THE TOOLS THAT WE HAVE - BUT DO NOT WANT TO EXECUTE.

Mitch O'Connell, the minority whip in the Senate - still has clout - when any bill comes before the Senate. Again and again, Mitch votes against any bill that addresses the curtailing of assault weapons - military weapons sold to civilians. Weapons that kill - even the Police - fear such weapons with Teflon bullets and more.

Our nation is in mourning, and rightly so.

No human being worth the salt can bear the loss of a young person - more, death brought about by a killer - who himself - needed help.

We do not have to possess assault weapons that the military use - machine guns, assault weapons - that can be loaded with hundreds of Teflon bullets.

Bullets - that tear through bones - destroy organs - bullets that bring about death.

Mitch O'Connell corrals the Republican Senators like sheep.

These Senators must be ashamed of themselves - when they could have stopped many of these shootings and killings - but have not.

How many more marches - petitions - pleadings do we need to bring about change? Why are there no reforms in the pipeline? The Democrats and Republicans - putting our children's lives on the line - every life matters.

The Senators, both Democrats, and Republicans - continue to play with the lives of our children and others.

We could raise the age level to 21 years.

We could have a better system - a centralized system - that tracks all those who buy assault guns - more, those with mental and psychological issues.

We could caution the gun sellers and manufacturers to add firewalls to stop those who should not buy guns.

It is time for manufacturers to be held accountable - brand names listed - the killings, maiming, and shootings with guns bearing the manufacturer's name.

Added - these gun manufacturers must pay into a fund - to help the victims and their families.

Help pay hospital bills and other healing treatments.

A letter from their local police station, a letter from their parents, a letter from a doctor - a psychologist or psychiatrist - if there is some doubt about the young buyer - being mentally or psychologically challenged.

Those who are 21 years could also be accompanied by some adult who has known them for over ten years - and is a professional person - teacher, policeman, doctor, or engineer from their community.

The young person must remember that buying a gun is a serious responsibility.

Those guns bought by these young folks - must be under lock and key - so that an adult - gives them permission to use the weapon - and the firearm released for what purpose - hunting, target practicing, and so on.

More guns are owned by individuals in the United States than in any other nation on Earth.

Each year thousands die - shot, killed, maimed - and most of us look at the situation as if we can do nothing.

We all can - put the matter on the ballot and vote.

Write your Congressperson and Senator - you will be surprised how that works. We all count on this fight for justice.

The right to bear arms does not mean we shoot to kill children or innocent people. Let us not take this one statement out of context.

We may not know that even if we form small focus groups in our community, we can take baby steps to end the sale of assault weapons.

Eva Mireles was a teacher at the Robb Elementary school - she taught for 17 years. There - was one more teacher that died too. 21 in all died - children do not have to die. Not in this manner - we can try to curtail the sale of assault weapons. There are other ways - to stop the sale of assault weapons - we can use our digital skills.
