Fort Scott at the Presidio of San Francisco - very close to the Golden Gate Bridge - few know more about Fort Scott - the military history surrounding Fort Scott is very rich - the building most landmark - that the Presidio Trust - has not maintained well - deferred maintenance time will tell.
The flag of the United States
The Presidio of San Francisco was once located at the Letterman Army Medical Center (LAMC) and the Letterman Army Institute of Research (LAIR).
During the Vietnam War, our nation lost over 58,000 soldiers. Most of the remains and the coffins were brought to the Presidio of San Francisco - stored and then dispatched to their home towns and cities - within the United States.
The Presidio Trust is unaware of this history - and the warehouse where once the dead bodies were stored - is now used as a recycling warehouse.
It is the same with the Buffalo Soldiers who returned to the Presidio of San Francisco - after patrolling and maintaining the trails and Federal Lands - Yosemite Park, Sequoia Park, other federal lands.
The Presidio Trust created hurdles each time we asked for a building to have Buffalo Soldiers Museum - not one street has been named after the famous Buffalo Soldiers.
Not a single monument to honor the Buffalo Soldiers - the very place where a Buffalo Soldiers' engineer built the 100 Series buildings - on Montgomery Street Brick buildings.
Henry Wager Halleck (1815-1872), a United States Army Commanding Genera, built the historic Montgomery Block in 1853.
Truly several Buffalo Soldiers should have had monuments built in their honor among them Captain Charles Young (1864-1922) - Captain Young who established the Standard Operating Procedures - how to maintain the Federal Lands.
Captain Charles Young - fully qualified with proven experience, skill, fortitude, and tenacity to be a General - to this day Congress and the Senate - has not recognized Captain Charles Young - time he is promoted to a General - the wrongs - righted.
Captain Charles Young should have been promoted to a General - had all the qualifications and experience.
He rode his horse from his hometown to Washington D.C. and submitted his sword and other medals to the authorities, showing t his displeasure.
Making known to the world - the racist disdain directed to Captain Charles Young and his soldiers - just because he was a Black at the time known as a Negro.
I mentioned that Captain Charles Young should have been promoted to a General - but he was not.
Captain Charles Young - was sent as an Ambassador to some nation in Africa - told to do this and that - just shy of giving him the promotion to General - that he well deserved.
Intelligent - hardworking, his tenacity and fortitude were well known to those in the military - the Presidio Trust has yet to honor him and others.
Now and then - the Presidio Trust has presentations - where they exercise white lies - typical of those who are ignorant - more - stupid.
There should be a monument right in the middle of the Presidio of San Francisco - in keeping with all that is happening to our nation right now - What has Nancy Pelosi done for the Buffalo Soldiers?
The $200 million that the Presidio Trust will get will be wasted on projects that do not serve the public at large.
The Presidio Trust is a disgrace to the human race - White Racists who keep thinking they can do as they please.
As soon as the Presidio Trust was formed - Congress agreed because of the pressure to put on Congress - to appropriate $150 million - aside from the $25 million per year - Congress would appropriate for the next 13 years.
In that time that elapsed some years ago - the Presidio Trust squandered the money - left Fort Scott and the many Landmark Building to fall into disrepair - deferred maintenance.
Soon after the pandemic, many Presidio Trust employees were fired - thanks to the Stimulus Plan, some could put bread and butter on the table.
Many Presidio Trust employees were disgusted - how the Presidio Trust treated them.
Many of them called me - others took early retirement - employees of color suffered the most.
Many vital programs - showcasing the Presidio, be it the Buffalo Soldiers' tour, other important historical events - did not occur - during the last 18 months - COVID-19 was used as an excuse.
I encouraged many employees to take advantage of the Stimulus Plan - and Unemployment Benefits.
Told them to take refresher courses - make plans to change their jobs.
Many Presidio Trust employees of color - did just that and are surviving.
Many Presidio Trust employees of color - did not appreciate how the current Presidio Trust managers, most White in high positions - run the Presidio of San Francisco like a Slave Plantation - making hay while the sun shines.

for his service to the country and more to the cause
of the Buffalo Soldiers. The hat I am wearing -
belongs to Rick Penn, who loaned it to me - and I had
to accept it - to honor his day and his service. Aho.
