July 4, 1776 - Jefferson's draft was adopted - and Independence Day Declared. The fireworks festivities, toasting and drinking - other mundane habits - have tarnished the true meaning of freedom - and the rights of each citizen here - the United States of America.

Thomas Jefferson, one of our Founding Fathers - was instrumental in crafting the language that declared July 4, 1776 - Independence Day.

Thomas Jefferson was a statesman, diplomat, lawyer, architect, philosopher, and Founder Father. 

Thomas Jefferson served as the third United States President from 1801 to 1809.

Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livington - were the others who contributed to the final draft and acceptance of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Today more importance is given to fireworks and other mundane issues - frolicking in short - that has led us slowly but surely to a degradation of our values and how we must govern ourselves.

The United States of America was created - fighting the British - and establishing a Constitution - one of a kind - was held in high regard.

On January 6, 2021, we saw thugs who dared to tarnish Capitol Hill - and defy the mandated count - the Electoral votes.

Cries of death to Pence - the United States Vice President - were heard. The nation was shocked and confounded - and to this day - divisiveness has been created.

One-third of our population - defy the Founding Fathers - the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Mainly because the fanatics are arrogant and very ignorant.

It does not help - the sitting committee created to bring the culprits to book - linked to the January 6, 2021 incident - is taking too long to adjudicate.

President Abraham Lincoln brought about the emancipation of Slavery - with the help of Frederick Douglas.

Frederick Douglas (1818 - 1895) united the United States.

Frederick Douglas persuaded President Lincoln to permit the newly freed slaves - to contribute their resources to the ongoing Civil War.

On a day like today and every day - we must honor our military who take an oath to the Constitution - not to any woman or man, any entity, any uncouth egoistic maniac - but to the Constitution.

In recent months we have seen our Supreme Court Judges - some have lost their mind - and overthrow Roe v Ward.

Every woman has a right to her body and human rights.

No one should impose their sordid rights and mandate any human being - woman or man - what to do - that does not bode well with the individual - who is guaranteed rights - in the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence.

Our indigenous people were here on Turtle Island for over 23,000 years - carbon-dated artifacts and human remains.

All of this land - Turtle Island - belong to the indigenous people. Each and every square inch - no one signed over an inch - so for all the talk - the time has come to speak truth to power. Those who signed the treaties failed them all - not one treaty was maintained - broken - several times - and this continues to this day.

Few know over 80 million indigenous people once thrived on Turtle Island. The disdain showed to indigenous people - more, the Trail of Tears - stealing, raping, killing infants and children - cry to the heavens for justice - Karma!

Today, July 4, 2022 - a parade at Highland Park, Chicago, Illinois - was disrupted by a shooting - over twenty shots fired - signs of the times. 

Sofar 7 victims dead - more were bloodied and lying on the ground - says one reliable report. Incident Commander O'Neill on the scene reported.

It is an active shooter situation - it will take hours before we get better and more reliable information. The shooter has still not been located.

On Independence Day, people gather - infants, children, youth, Elders, and those with compromised health - more physically and mentally challenged -  we honor those who laid their lives that we may be free.

There is freedom, and there is license.

Abuse of freedom is license.

More and more, the ignorant and arrogant - force themselves on our parades, gathering places, some musical events, gatherings one of a kind for good - behave like hooligans - resort to a massacre - other atrocities that demean - humanity.

These symbols say some - but there is more to the land - Turtle Island.

The atrocities committed - to the indigenous people - no apology, no sound reparation.

The ignorance and arrogance of those that speak with a forked tongue.

To those that bring harm with intent - your actions and ill will - will bring about your demise. You will fall - flat on your face.
