SAN FRANCISCO HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS CLIMATE CHANGE - THE MANY NEW TALL BUILDINGS, THE CONGESTION ON OUR STREETS, THE POOR LANDFILLS SPEWING METHANE - EMPIRICAL DATA MATTERS - NOT HOT AIR.

Mayor London Breed is not a friend of the environment and related issues, be it Climate Change, Liquefaction, the depletion of the Ozone level - nor her lackeys, the likes of Debbie Raphael. She headed the SF Environment and leached on funds from Recology.

 

San Francisco and the Mayor of London Breed have failed the taxpayers - more on climate change and related factors.

As for Mayor London Breed, who gave herself a raise in the middle of the pandemic - making $400,000 plus a year - she is inept, brash, lacks good manners - and cannot be trusted.

The many planned skyscrapers emit thousands of tons of Carbon Dioxide -  millions of tons of Carbon Dioxide - towers taken as an aggregate.

Mayor London Breed, who favors Big Developers and makes money off them - has no clue - what she is saying - that she has signed on a  Climate Change plan - full of holes.

We know the Glasgow Conference on Climate Change held in Scotland was an abject failure - more lobbyists from the major petroleum corporations - present - to rubber-stamp policies and plans - that kept the ardent, stellar advocates of the environment - out. 

I do not know of one single legislation that Mayor London Breed has formulated - no one singular policy that she has initiated - that comes for her. 

What London Breed does best is spew hot air.

London Breed has no clue about the millions of tons of Methane Gas - spewing from the thousands of acres - poor landfill.

On Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - on Parcel E  - we have Methane wells - all monitored - that gives us some sense of the thousands of tons of Methane gas - spewing into the environment.

The City and County of San Francisco - plans to build 30,000 homes on toxic land - prone to severe flooding and liquefaction - the air contaminated with particulates  - more PM 2.5.

London Bred brags about this plan - putting citizens in harm's way.

Debbie Raphael - Director of SF Environment - leached on SF Recology and the millions send her way - rubber-stamping policies that lack credibility and are more mundane.  

The likes of Debbie Raphael - who has very close ties to Recology not so much to serve the constituents of San Francisco - but to use Recology's money - for herself and her pet projects.

One SF Supervisor - Asha Safahi, took her on some years ago - Debbie Raphael had no clue about operations, the Teamsters, the origins of specific policies linked to Recycling, and workers' benefits.

Debbie Raphael - dumb as she is -  rubber stamping - illegal policies - when questioned on pertinent issues linked to Recycling and the SF Environment - that does not get money from the SF General Fund -  she had nothing much to say - but sing the blues.

The SF Environment meetings - pre-pandemic and now - consists of lackeys. Mostly - folks who cannot think out the box.

Lackeys - patting their behinds - talking in circles - trying to take on San Francisco - restaurants - on fossil fuel - gas ovens - that Debbie Raphael wants to convert to electric operations.

The Potrero Plant - the Mirant Plant - few remember this sordid plant that adversely mostly the Bayview Hunters Point resident - the many ploys, machinations, and shenanigans - from the Community Benefits - doled out the SF Conservatory of Flowers and the SF Department of the Environment - now named conveniently as the  SF Environment - same snake different head.

In 2002, Pacific Gas and Electric decided to transfer the Potrero Plant to Mirant - the rest is history.

Mirant set aside millions of Community benefits that were used not so much for the Bayview Hunters Point Community - which has suffered adverse impacts for decades - gave a donation of $500,000 - to the Conservatory of Flowers - millions more to create the now SF Environment - corrupt to the core.

This money helped rehab the Conservatory of Flowers - in the center of the Golden Gate Park - far away from Bayview Hunters Point - in District 10.

The rich and others benefit from visits to the Conservatory of Flowers.

The  Bayview Hunters Point and the inner cities of San Francisco - that helped the Conservatory of San Francisco - were ignored.

Such are the design and acts of dirty politics former Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr, and Dennis Herrera, the then City Attorney.

As I mentioned, the SF Environment received $18 million, which created the SF Department of the Environment- now named SF Environment. Same snake, different head.

Its first Director, Jared Blumfeld - now has Debbie Raphael - a good talker.

When it comes to sound and good actions - she thinks more of her paycheck - make more than $250,000. Why? 

Some of us are monitoring the situation at hand - so far, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors -  have stalled three massive projects - backed by Mayor London Breed.

London Breed is in bed with the Big Developers - and makes light of this fact. She is not a leader - she is a panderer - good leaders - know the way, go the way, and show the way. Any takers.
