Nothern California - has some of the world's best forest - old growth " redwood trees " - Sequoia trees thousands of feet tall - pine trees, oak trees - many kind of trees - and within them fauna and flora.
Our Northern California forests - have contributed to the Earth - in many ways - that is until the strangers came and fucked it all up - some few hundreds years ago.
The Native Americans protected the forest, the rivers, the lakes, all that was good for over 15,000 years. No one seems to give the indigenous credit - those that came here from elsewhere have abused the land, the forest, the rivers, the lakes, everything that once was pristine.
Native Americans naturally knew what was good for the forest - they were also aided by Nature - when the fog, seasonal rain, and moderate climates - made it easier for the Native Americans - more, because they prayed, respect nature - and took care of Mother Earth.
This concept of Mother Earth is deep to the Native Americans - the indigenous people here and all over the Americas.
Not so to the strangers - who will steal, rape, take what is not theirs - and steeped in GREED.
All Black Buffalo Soldiers -
they managed the Federal Lands -
among them Yosemite National Park, Sequoia and so on -
turned their responsibility to the National Park Service
and the U.S. Forest Department -
who have been slow to do the needful.
In the early 1900s the Buffalo Soldiers managed our Federal Lands - most people do not know that - because they are NOT educated on issues.
They have no sense about our Nation Parks and have no clue that the all Black Buffalo Soldiers - created the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - to manage the National Parks - such as Yosemite National Park - and by extension the millions of acres of Federal Lands.
The Buffalo Soldiers had good relations with the Native Americans - who gave them the name Buffalo Soldiers - all Black soldiers - because they wore the fur coats - made of Buffalo fur - and resembled the Buffalo.
The Federal Lands were cleared of underbrush - and the Buffalo Soldiers learned this from the Native Americans.
The Buffalo Solders took detail notes - and appreciated wisdom.
Not so the GREDY they think they know it all - and now we see that their homes built in Napa, Redding, in other places where the fire has been raging.
Sending a clear message to those that come in the path of the fire - will be incinerated.
Mother Nature always - win.
That is not to say I have NO empathy and compassion - but there is more to the situation at hand.
Some how those that are GREEDY - forget to respect the indigenous people.
The Native Americans of Northern California and all of California. This is their land - never mind what the GREEDY say.
The United States Forest Department has failed to keep the forest safe.
More during the last 30 years - kicking the can down the street -making excuses - instead of taking steps - and putting a viable and sustainable plan in writing.
They have NO viable and sustainable plan - they have not had the ability to bring the many departments and agencies to the table - to bring about consensus. The reason is simple the have NO love for the forest and nature - they have a job and all they look at is their salary - infighting between the various agencies, departments, policy makers - petty politics.
Today these huge mega-infernos have the power of 4 and 5 atomic bombs - seeing is believing - and there is more to come.
Napa, Redding, Shasta, Yosemite - each fire is unique and the fire-fighters from all over the Nation and abroad - are worn out.
Truly speaking - there is no way - we can fight these fires at this rate - without addressing the core issues - the recent, latest technology, meta-data, land use, planning, involving our colleges and universities in real issues - where life and sound living issues - matter.
San Jose metrological department - using State of the Art equipment to help firemen and women - recently the Carr Fire - and going all over the Nation to share their state of the art - technology :
https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/San-Jose-State-University-Fire-Weather-Research-Laboratory-Plays-Key-Role-in-Battling-California-Wildfires-489946241.html
San Jose University has a team of experts - who have figured the various factors - that could make a fire grow bigger.
Yet this education and information - is NOT accessible to our Fire Departments, the United States Forest Department, to agencies like Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), the smaller electric companies - the many cities, counties, villages - all because each entity thinks - they know it all.
The Carr Fire
All one can do is hear and empathize with my good friends - and as I said - this on going saga - is only going to get worse.
Fire tornados captured by this video - on the Carr Fire :

What is impressive to note - is how these mega- infernos create their own micro-climates - more one of kind infernos - create winds in access of 130 miles per hour - and turbulence that can twist and turn.
We have seen huge electric infrastructure - carrying high power lines - brought down and churned into a ball - huge steel and concrete platforms uprooted - and flattened.
The one team at San Jose University have been working on this project - studying the fires - taking images - inputing real time data into computers - mobile vans going to the fire locations.
Forecasting real time - weather conditions - a young team of experts - who can and must contribute to the present mess.
The ads that have folks just talking in generalities - does not help at all.
PGE has failed us, the Fire Departments must stop talking too much but learn the latest techniques and help invent equipment that is light - durable - so that we can create fire-breaks and buy time.
Further contribute to the future and not get stuck in the past - where they are in many responsible for not thinking outside the box.
Many Fire Departments have discriminated - against black and brown - people.
Further - fostered nepotism - keeping the good paying jobs - among a certain segment of the population - while with intent - creating unwanted discriminations - shutting out those segments of the population - that matter - in this case black and brown fire men and women.
We know those incarcerated are used like slaves - paid one dollar an hour - and given credit for early -release - while all the time putting their lives in harm way.
Here is one article that says some :
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/12/how-much-longer-will-inmates-fight-californias-wildfires/547628/
California prisoners are paid one dollar -
to fight these fires and put their lives on the line -
we must evaluate the ways of those
that will take advantage -
even to the point of putting lives in harms way -
one dollar an hour - in the year 2018.
The only time the GREEDY forget about discrimination - is when prison labor - mostly brown and black prisoners are put in harms way.
When these young men and women fight the fires and win - no mention in made of them. This nonsense must stop.
We just cannot fight these fires the old fashion way - where some have contributed to the worsening conditions.
Now put fire men and women in harms way.
Believe me the U.S. Forest Department has been so negligent - that the time has come to completely revamp - the U. S. Forest Department.
While we are at it - the many Planning Departments, those in charge of Land Use, the various organizations involved with weather pattens, and monitoring climate change - must create zones where human beings should NOT build home - and put themselves in harm way.
Then these policy makers - turn around and force cities, town, counties to spend millions of tax payers - to save their homes, life stock and all that they purport to be valuable.
We tax payers foot the bill - our law makers - more political pimps and whores - are comfortable filling their campaign coffers - the management making six figure salaries - laughing to the bank.
We must learn to stand tall and represent - think outside the box - look at the situation at hand - and evaluate - the situation at hand.
This land - Turtle Island belongs to the indigenous - who protected the land for over 15,000 years.
God bless you all.
We thank the indigenous people - and respect Mother Earth.
