It should NOT be business as usual - you would not know it - from the reaction of many - who have lived here on Turtle Island as strangers - stealing, raping, polluting, contaminating, and committing crimes - daily - including the increase of the Carbon Footprint. Climate Change!
For over 15,000 years the Native Americans - have honored Mother Earth - using less and leaving more for future generations.
Not so the strangers - they want it all - and feel NO guilt - taking stuff that does not belong to them. Stealing, raping, contaminating, cheating - and hoodwinking the public in broad daylight - it is like breathing to them.
Even as millions of acres of land - are threatened - and with impeding rains - soil erosion, and flooding - those that have failed to take care of our forests - failing to remove the undergrowth - ignoring the "wisdom" - of the Native Americans - today these " idiots " - make excuses that they have not been funded and lack resources.
Only the pathetic do not take responsibility of their actions.
At the rate this fire is raging - in areas like Clear Lake, Mendocino, Redding - with the strong winds - this time around - nothing should surprise us. There is more to come.
The entire Marin County is in peril - places like San Rafael can be incinerated in a second - the folks living in these areas already know it - but they are NOT prepared for the eventuality - and sorry to say - the demise of many.
Our prisoners have been used like fodder - put in harms way - paid $1 per hour - and some vague promise - that their sentences can be reduced.
The mentality of those that use prisoners - not so much to rehabilitate the prisoners - but, to send the world a message - as to who is in charge of lives - and has been since the days of slavery. Not much has changed - so do not stay quiet - stand up and speak up - Truth to Power.
It is at times like this that we must ponder about our values - the many who have the ability to acquire large properties - so close to nature - large forests - and think nothing at all - how all this came about. Who is infringing of whose property - the audacity of some to challenge and defy - Mother Earth.
To this day there is NOT one single document that the Native Americans handed any land - NOT one square inch - to the strangers.
Yet, the many crooked will fill out papers - begging insurance companies - to pay them for their loss.
Often inflating their losses - and not stopping to think - if they have learned a lesson - whose land is this anyway?

We all do not STOP to think - how land - forests, rivers, lakes, the air - the entire environment - was once as pristine as could be.

That is how Lewis and Clarke reported to the authorities - they describe the West Coast - with the wide Ocean (the Pacific Ocean) - the huge Redwood trees, Sequoia trees, all thousands of years old - they stood in severance.

I represent the Muwekma Ohlone the First People of San Francisco. As part of some discourse - I often permit those that want to express themselves freely - say what they feel to be true and factual.
I am shocked how many still think - that even though their ancestors - came clear from across the other Ocean blue ( the Atlantic Ocean ) - they talk as if all of California and beyond - belongs to them.
The majority do not acknowledge - the Native Americans - and many have no knowledge about the Ohlone Tribe - and the various clans be it the Ensen, Rumsen, Thamien, Matalan, Salson, Hordean, Puichun, Unijaima, Taunen, Sargentaruc, and many more.
All carefully recorded by Bureau of Indian Affairs that comes under the jurisdiction of the Department of Interior - they had the facts - but fail to recognize the California and Bay area Native Americans - because they simply wanted all of them - dead.
These fires will be put out - and in due season - with insurance payments - the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), State and Federal funds - some solace will be given to those who lost their homes and belongings.
In all of these deliberations - not once will any one recall - whose land this is - the very land that Mother Nature - decided to remind us - that Nature controls all - so even if you stole it - it could be destroyed - for you to figure out - your ways of stealing and then faking it - to be compensated.
Since before 1776 those that kept notes - many paintings available in our Museums - detail records kept by some entities - delving through all these documents - have given me - a clear understanding - how the " strangers " with intent - planned the " genocide " of the Native Americans.
It is a shame that the Department of Interior, the U.S. Forest Department, the National Park Service, the many other local, state, and federal agencies that control of once know Federal Lands - now given fancy names - do not respect the Native Americans.
We must pause to understand and more acknowledge that for over 15,000 years - the only true owners - before and now are the Native Americans.
