THE PEOPLE VOTED AGAINST THE TWO HOUSING BALLOTS - THE CURRENT SF HOUSING ELEMENT A MESS - THE STATE WILL INVESTIGATE THE SF PLANNING DEPARTMENT - THE RAMPANT LACK OF STANDARDS - KICKING THE CAN DOWN THE STREET.

\

Over 2.8 million square feet of commercial space are vacant in downtown and other San Francisco locations. Over 61,000 homes empty - that will be taxed now - for keeping these homes vacant. The SF Planning Department - kicking the can down the street.

The San Francisco Planning Department has been pandering to the Big Developers for decades.

There is a glut of Market Rate Housing and condominiums for the very rich and filthy.

By Lake Merced, a developer plans to build 3000 units - not very far from this development - 1200 units vacant - what is happening to our SF Planning Commission?

In 2022 we use clean drinking water to flush our toilets - this is totally uncalled for.

Why does the SF Planning Department - do a needs assessment and follow the State of California's guidelines on clean water, sewage, density, transportation, pollution, and contamination?

Every  8 years, SF Planning is mandated to develop a plan to address the pressing needs of San Francisco.

San Francisco citizens - for decades, the SF Planning Department - have had disdain for the working poor.

It turned its back on the physically and mentally challenged - those with disability - even though federal money is set aside for this population segment.

This year 2022 - the SF Planning Department and Commission has been caught with its hands in the cookie jar.

It failed to complete the process in time - to meet the deadlines - and with the new Ballot Measures losing - caught holding an empty bag. Failing San Franciscans,

Here is one of the drafts linked to the SF Housing Element:

https://sfhousingelement.org/third-draft-plan

Please study the draft - the SF Planning Department is all over the place.

The SF Planning Department makes promises but has not delivered the goals it has set - in the past.

As things stand today - it will be impossible for the SF Planning Commission to deliver anything good - on time - to satisfy the State of California.

The State of California will investigate these jerks who have been hoodwinking us all - in broad daylight.

San Francisco is Muwekma Ohlone land.

For over forty years, I have been monitoring the sordid deliberations of the SF Planning Department.

Commissioners are appointed because of the lifestyle - many are dumb on proper land use and vertical and horizontal construction.

Ignorant about density issues - in short, most of them have no clue how to do a needs assessment - and disdain the working poor.

San Francisco is Muwekma Ohlone land.

For all the talk - the SF Planning Department has not contacted the Muwekma Ohlone - to find out how this land was stolen.

Why some entities who have not recognized tribes - are making acknowledgment statements - at the beginning of meetings - as if they have the authority or truly represent San Francisco and the federal tribes.

The Mayor London Breed has been pandering to the Big Developers and favored the Ballot Measure D - which did not pass.

It was the same with Proposition E, which did not pass either - revealing to the world and those who know better - the united people will not be defeated.

The Muwekma Ohlone - who lived here in San Francisco and the neighboring areas for over 23,000 years - human remains Carbon dated and DNA traced and matched - the current tribal members - to those of the ancestors.

Early in the 1980s, we made sure that the Muwekma Ohlone was given recognition and noted in the San Francisco - SF General Managing Plan. The head of SF Planning - Amit Ghosh.

The current Housing Plan that must be in place - with sound standards and achievable goals - has failed to serve San Francisco.

The lack of diligence has garnered the ire of the State of California - which must be presented a sound Housing Element in time.

The salient and pertinent aspects of the current Housing Element for the next eight years - are spelled out - and this has not happened at all.

The State of California will invest the SF Planning Department and the SF Planning Commission for not being diligent and failing to present a viable and sustainable Housing Element.

When the investigation is completed - those advocates who fought for what is right - will know how despicable the SF Planning Commissioners have been - ignorant and arrogant.

They are so condescending and fail again and again to listen to the Public at large.

This is Muwekma Ohlone land - all of it - stolen, and this wrong must be righted - not by diatribe and verbosity - but by good actions.

The notion of Land Trust and making vague Acknowledgement statements without empirical data  - makes a mockery of the SF Planning Commission - which has no clue about the Muwekma Ohlone and its deep connection to San Francisco.

Only a Federally Recognized tribe that has proven empirical data - can represent the indigenous people of San Francisco. The rest of them charlatans - must not muddy the waters.

All over Turtle Island before the strangers set foot - the land, the lakes, rivers, forest, flora, and fauna - were pristine and healthy.

Here in San Francisco, there were the Shellmounds - where the remains of the Ohlone were found - and, in many cases, disrespected.

There is a protocol when the human remains are found - who has to be contacted and what must be done as laid down by the protocol - and the Native American Graves Protection and Rehabilitation Act ( NAGPRA).

The Native American Graves Protection and Rehabilitation Act (NAGPRA) - mandates how the remains must be addressed - again and again, we find infringements.

The SF Planning Department knows about this - but does nothing but look away.

This double standard of making statements - the SF Planning desires to embrace the Native American and people of color - is hogwash.

Daily, the poor live on the streets of San Francisco in filthy conditions. This is totally uncalled for.

Once middle-class families - living in tents - here in San Francisco - the home of many billionaires and more millionaires.

In the mission, thousands of working poor have been evicted.

The same in the Bayview Hunters Point, in the Excelsior,  in the Avenues, in the Tenderloin - all over San Franciso in considerable measure.

The SF Planning Commission - wastes millions of dollars - and person-hours - beating the horse dead and reviving it several times - on mundane issues.

We want to know how many innocent people have died - just because they had no roof over their heads and happened to be poor?

Can we have a public meeting on this issue - the poor slowly dying - and can the problem be put on the agenda and noticed - as soon as possible.

We want to know why it takes 5 to 8 years - for anyone to get their entitlements to build - and why the permitting system is so convoluted?

Enough is Enough - time to take the rascals to the task - and right the wrong - on a war effort.
