The recent decision arrived at by the San Francisco City Attorney - is convoluted at best - making us believe something is nothing. Some adjudication linked to Laguna Honda - the Notice of Violations - and Laguna Honda being decertified.
The time has come for Attorney Louise Renne to tell us precisely the situation.
Let the people know - the decision-making and how our " beloved Elders " are affected - in the short term but, more importantly, in a long time.
At issue is the nonchalant attitude of the Mayors of San Francisco, the Controller, the SF City Attorneys, the SF Board of Supervisors - and the main culprit, the SF Department of Health - the former Health Director - Barbara Gracia, and the current culprit - SF Health Director - Grant Colfax makes over $600,00 a year.
The SF Health Department, with intent, has sent ' chronic drug addicts" to be rehabilitated at Laguna Honda - allowing these addicts to mingle with our beloved Elders and putting them in harm's way.
The SF Health Department has a budget of over $2 Billion - takes 18 months to hire personnel - such as a Register Nurse. It is known for its abject discrimination - more people of color.
It kept vacant, hiring the head of the behavioral Department for years - then appointing a woman from New York - who is a Joke.
The SF General Hospital has 403 - only 22 are for acute care - Skilled Nursing, and Mental care 59 - this goes to show you - what the hell is happening at SF General Hospital.
Patients are discharged directly to the street - again and again.
The SF Health Department saves millions - as the Federal Government handles the entire bill - for Laguna Honda.
For years Laguna Honda was known for its skilled nursing care - as well as Senior subacute cure - and had a good history - until many drug addicts were dumped at Laguna Honda - and we saw several Notice of Violations.
While all those nonsense was taking place - the Mayors of San Francisco - Gavin Newsom, Edwin Lee, Mark Farrell, and the present Mayo,r London Breed - thought they could play with fire - without getting burned.
Today the SF Health Department has hired a consultant Mr. Perkins who can tell a lovely fairy tale - but this is not a time - to kick the can down the street.
At this time, we want to know - what are the short-term plans and long-term plans.
Why have we not heard - from those affected - the Elders - not once have they been allowed to speak their minds.
We know that nine Elders died - as early on - a hasty decision was made to transfer them, traumatizing them and leading to nine deaths. Who is genuinely responsible for these deaths?
Recently we had a hearing about the Laguna Honda Hospital - it was traumatizing to hear the SF Board of Supervisors - speak, as a matter of fact - in generalities - putting their faith in a consultant who has been paid $5 million - our taxpayer's money - without consulting the people.
The people united will never, ever be defeated. The Democrats we have in power in San Francisco - are pathetic.
They are now in the news - and what they have brought about in San Francisco and other places - will be revealed for all the people to know and remember.
As I have said previously, we, the people - trust and are comfortable with Attorney Louise Renee explaining to us the people who pay our taxes - are decent constituents - who work hard - what exactly is happening.
We, the people - and I can bring thousands to affirm what I am saying to City Hall - as we have done in the past - to let you all know who really works for whom.
We are tolerating a bunch of SF Board of Supervisors - not educated on issues - chronologically cannot explain nor make sense of serious problems.
Have failed San Franciscans - miserably.
We have no faith in the current SF City Attorney David Chu and his lackeys.
We, the people, know and trust - Attorney Louise Renee and her law firm.
The firm of Attorney Louise Renee took it upon themselves to do some thorough investigative reporting that stopped the removal of patients and the deaths - nine Laguna Honda patients that are no more.
California - Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services - is a pompous institution - CMS - took it upon themselves to penalize the Laguna Honda Hospital.
Paradoxically from the start of the Covid pandemic - and the past two years after that - the entire medical world - praised the excellent work done at Laguna Honda - we had no Elders dying from Covid.

At one time, in San Francisco - we had more subacute care facilities - for example, Saint Luke had more beds than SF General Hospital.
Saint Luke was bought by Sutter Hospitals - the California Pacific Medical Center belongs to Sutter Hospitals.
I know of other hospitals belonging to Sutter hospital - Sutter hospital - adversely impacted - sub-acute care - and changed things for the worse in San Francisco.
Our Elders deserve the best in their golden years. The SF Board of Supervisors - seems not to take this fact seriously.
