NOW AT LAST - THE WALK WAY OF WARRIORS - JEFF ADACHI WAY - AS JEFF WOULD SAY - OF THIS WAY - HE ASSURED HIMSELF AS HE DID OTHERS - WARRIORS DEFEND THOSE WHO MOST NEED HELP.

JEFF ADACHI WAY

Jeff Adachi has passed gone to his ancestors - one of kind human being who was my very good friend. We had a ceremony named a street - the first one - named for a American of Japanese ancestors.

The unveiling of this back street - that Jeff traversed on his way to 850 Bryant - every time he left his office - the front on the other side of this back way - now named Jeff Adachi Way.

Jeff Adachi was our Public Defender - an elected Public Defender - who made it his business to defend those that most need help.

Daily would gather his Public Defenders and remind them - they were " warriors " - and that they all should commit themselves in unity - to defend those that could not defend themselves.

It was a pleasure standing before Jeff's wife, his relatives, his good friends and supporters - the vibe of the moment - felt good - we who were close to him - felt his presence - and as so many came to greet me - we looked at each other - and had to say nothing much - we remember the good actions - and the many victories.

Jeff Adachi left a legacy - even as we recall the many cases - the many trips to courts - the many adventures - that took us to Jeff - who never said NO.

We had our connections - the various authorities - the glue was Jeff Adachi - he heard us and then spoke - Jeff's measured words - the end result - FREEDOM.

 Thank you all for attending the ceremony - the unveiling of the sign " Jeff Adachi way ".

Jeff Adachi is with us - he never left us - we have a lot of work to do - more today - as we witness - more and more corruption of the worst order - more in Room 200.

We still have to help the incarcerated - given them a second chance - we still have to check those that are steeped with " dark money ". We still have to help those that most need help.

Good actions count.

In this trying times - we must have our heart in the right place.

Kudos to you all who stood by Jeff Adachi - I played my role - and  I have fun watching - each one telling me - how great Jeff Adachi was - this that and the other thing.

I was with Jeff Adachi - when things were difficult - some hurdles that we over came. His friends with him - and Jeff Adachi had many ACE Cards - he knew when to pull the right one at the right time.

Well I hear Jeff Adachi has a book coming up - I am looking forward to read the book. To read the lines and read the pictures he has painted for all of us to see - but more to act.

In Life action counts - actions that help one another - empathy, compassion - justice and fair play for all. God Bless.
