SF HAS DECIDED TO TREAT WITH DISDAIN - OUR MOST VULNERABLE POPULATION - OUR ELDERS, THOSE WITH COMPROMISED HEALTH - AT LAGUNA HONDA HOSPITAL - ELDERS TREAT WITH DISDAIN BY DRUG ADDICTS.

 

Laguna Honda Hospital 

San Francisco has always led the nation regarding skilled nursing and hospice care.

Showcasing this our very own Laguna Honda Hospital - that once treated up to 1200 patients - then reduced this number to 800.

It costs $500,000 every month to operate Laguna Honda Hospital - the funding provided by the Federal Government - that has its own chain of command - and standards to which every entity or hospital must follow strictly - as we know recently - Laguna Honda fell short.

The State of California has its own regulations - and every Notice Of Violation is monitored carefully - more when it comes to the welfare of our Seniors or Elders.

Some 10 years ago - the SF Health Department - with intent, chose to transfer adult addicts to Laguna Honda - for Drug Addiction Treatment.

I visited Laguna Honda - saw what was happening, and wrote about it. Our Mayors, be it Gavin Newsom, Edwin Mah Lee, Mark Farrell, and the current Mayor London Breed - knew about this ongoing nonsense - but preferred to kick the can down the street.

This endemic of " drug addiction " compromises the Quality of Life here in San Francisco. San Francisco leads the nation in Fentanyl deaths - the SF Board of Supervisors, the Mayor, the Controller's Office, the Health Department, the Office of Emergency Services - the many Non-Profits - do not have a viable and sustainable plan. 

Many Non-Profits bid to treat addicts - using all sorts of models - some nefarious in nature.

Yesterday - June 14, 2022, two leading Non-Profits waited at the eleventh hour to beg the SF Board of Supervisors for help - two leading service providers on the verge of being shut down.

Scenes like this can be seen all over San Francisco.

We have Non-Profits in San Francisco touting that they have state-of-the-art treatments - mental and addiction - million given out by the City and County of San Francisco - our taxpayer's money - with little or no - accountability. 

The City and County of San Francisco's Health Department, some 10 years ago - dumped " drug addicts " - some of them deep in crime - to mix with vulnerable elders at Laguna Honda Hospital.

Many Seniors were traumatized and died. Those entities shedding crocodile tears today - the Chair of the Budget Committee, the Controller, the Mayor, the dumb SF Board of Supervisors - all are responsible - and have failed miserably.

San Franciscan citizens and advocates - paid for ads like you see above to bring " Fentanyl " addiction to the attention - of our Mayor and the SF Board of Supervisors - to no avail.

Millions are spent by outside groups who come to San Francisco - and get sole-source bids on a platter. One of them is Urban Alchemy - its CEO makes $200,000.

Drug addiction and homelessness go hand in hand. 

I sometimes attend the virtual meetings Our City, Our Home, Oversight Committee. Too much talk and less action.

We are watching the politicians like a hawk.

You must witness the Non-Profits involved with homelessness and drug treatment beg for money - it is wrong to encourage low-bid operations to promise the City one thing and do another.

The City and County of San Francisco and the SF Board of Supervisors - work with some of these nefarious entities - and when there is an abject failure - the SF Board of Supervisors - blames everyone except themselves. 

Again and again, all over the City and County, we permit these operators to hoodwink us in broad daylight. We saw this yesterday at SF City Hall - in Room 250 in the August Chambers.

In our City and County of San Francisco - with billions coming from the Federal Government - we must have an Emergency Management - Commander on our payroll.  

Preferably one that has certification from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The person heading the SF Emergency Office is a Safety Officer.

Unbeknown to the SF Board of Supervisors - FEMA is holding some virtual public meetings - receiving valid information from San Franciscans and others - millions wasted and reported to FEMA - money from the Stimulus Plan.

San Francisco leased hotel rooms - occupied partially - and billed FEMA - for all the rooms.

We all know this - but prefer to look the other way.

Many Non-Profits used the Stimulus bill to double the triple amount - FEMA is looking into this nonsense - and is gathering information - in addition to what it has - to get to the truth of the matter.

 Some Non-Profits headquartered in Los Angeles - are now moving into practical every nook and corner - to offer services linked to Violence Prevention, Addiction, and Mental issues.

We just hired a Director of Behavioral Sciences at the Department of Health Department - I caught her lying many times - she has no clue that New York and San Francisco are different. 

Mr. Michael Phillips was fired recently - Dr. Roland Pickens, a consultant, was brought in and released this information. Dr. Roland Pickens heads the SF Health Network - and, as a consultant, is paid more than $6 million - he and his side-kick - Dr. Pickens assumes the role of Head of Incident Management - and his side-kick  Deputy his Assistant Incident Manager. He also acts as Dr. Roland Pickens - Director of Operation - linked to SF Health Network.

Dr. Grant Colfax, a lackey of Mayor London Breed - both bear responsibility - brings about the fiasco that now befalls - Laguna Honda. If the patients are transferred - over 30% of the 800 will die. Patients suffering from acute dementia, severe paralysis, and other chronic behavioral ailments - when moved from one place to another- are traumatized - leading to death.

Remember, all these changes are made by Dr. Grant Colfax, who has made many mistakes - including allowing passengers to enter MUNI buses unmasked - this is ongoing now.

Failing to hire nurses takes as many as one and a half years to hire essential workers.

Failing to reveal real-time data available on Virants and surges.

Creating the present mess - with some Non-Profits failing to adhere to rules and regulations - while working under the SF Health Department adversely impacts the quality of Life issues in San Francisco.

No Non-Profit can go on for years - losing money and failing to report the facts and data - as part of its annual reporting. Then at Budget time, ask for double the money - and hoodwink the Budget Committee Chair - this in front of the entire world.

As with the SF Public Utilities Commission fraud and other corruption cases, our SF Controller Ben Rosenfeld is now singing the blues.

When you look deeper into favoring lifestyle hiring - you notice corruption of the highest order; we saw this with Barbara Gracia - and all those who followed her - one worse than the other.

Alameda County and nearby areas all mandate a mask boarding buses and BART. 

So why should we defer - more, putting those with underlying ailments in harm's way?

Once known as Poor Home, Laguna Honda has been there for over 150 years.

One expert who must be paid to reveal the facts linked to Laguna Honda - who I requested to write a book - is Dr. Derick Kerr M.D. - his articles can be found in the newspaper WesternObserver.

Dr. Derick Kerr once worked for Laguna Honda - he took Laguna Honda to court and won his case.

Our Elders must be protected and treated with care and love - more as they go through their golden years - many have served our nations, our city San Francisco - I know them personally - and ask those in power - or so they say to do the needful.

I know two in power, one shaking like a reed in the wind Nancy Pelosi and the other Diane Feinstein - suffering from dementia of some type -  such are the state of affairs.

We can accommodate at least 100 in San Francisco - lease a medium-size hotel or buy it and cater to those who do not need hospice care. Need skilled hospital care - many short-term - if that is possible.

Also, we could stick with the one license of " skilled hospital care " - to better monitor the daily operations of Laguna Honda Hospital - with sound leadership and keep the fucking politics and politicians out.

The Federal Government has $500 million a month to operate a hospital-like Laguna Honda - the SF City and County - more than the SF Board of Supervisors, saw this coming - and were pussyfooting around.

When asked if the City and County, with its 14 Billion dollars, can afford to come up with a solution - the idiots say - no way - while shedding crocodile tears. 

Shame on the SF Board of Supervisors, the SF Health Department, the Controller, the City Attorney, the City Administrator, and the Unions who were fast asleep.

The Mayor and her advisors - all those who failed to listen to Dr. Derick Kerr, who must now write a book on these bastards from hell - want to represent but are swimming in the cesspool of their own creation.

Just like children who we love - our Elders have wisdom and carry an extraordinary power - that we must acknowledge - never treat our Elders with disdain.

If you do that - you will fall - flat on your face.
