Sunrise celebration -
Thursday, November 28, 2019 -
50th takeover of Alcatraz -
spurring many movements encouraging
indigenous people to " fight for their rights ".
Thursday, November 28, 2019 - warrior women, men, children and youth, our beloved Elders - others who are in unity and stand shoulder to shoulder - with the Revolutionaries - that started a movement - this year celebrating - its 50th Anniversary.
Some one must enthuse and spur those who are half-awake to take a cause too important - not to announce - justice and fair play - for the indigenous people - all over this Nation.
Chief Sitting Bull of the Lakota Nation -
he never compromised -
teaching us a lesson for life -
never compromise and take the bait
when sordid money is offered - and one' freedom compromised.
Much like Chief Sitting Bull, Chief Crazy Horse, Chief Joseph - the Great Spirit - awakened some indigenous leaders - to create movement - Chief Sitting Bull creating the Lakota Nation - a sovereign nation.
Chief Joseph -
he died for his people -
he stood for principles and never sold out.
Chief Joseph - fighting for his people - until he could endure the trials and tribulation - no more.
The Whites have never given the indigenous the respect they deserve. More the racists - that we have to deal with - one today
making his abode in the White House.
Today, we have many compromising - working behind the scene - some indigenous with greed folks - trying to win brownie points.
Today some have gathered -
to bring back the moments of glory -
state the reasons for the original take over of the island -
some of the leaders of the original take over are alive -
they remind us that we must stand for what is right -
with tenacity and fortitude - in the land of the indigenous.

Protest in San Francisco -
in front of 850 Bryant - SF City Jail House.
Warrior indigenous women -
doing what they do best -
standing tall and representing -
fighting for what is right - women's right
to freedom and complete liberty.
We must not wait for someone else - to fight for our indigenous women - thousands have suffered at the hand of injustice - and continue to this day.
The murders, the rapes, the insults, all this and more must STOP - warrior men among the indigenous have always been known to be sensitive.
Not the opposite - again and again - I have met some indigenous men - mostly " jail birds " - who think they know better - until they are told about their own history.
It is pathetic the harm done to many indigenous women - by those that should know better. Aho.

We go into ceremony - to do right - and stand up tall and represent - fight for what is right :
Here is one example - an indigenous woman murdered - and NO justice in sight - right here in San Francisco :

I have met some of the leaders - that took over Alcatraz Island.
I continue to work - with those indigenous that have their heart in the right place.
We must always honor our elders - listen to those that have wisdom and follow the Great Spirit.
We must NOT allow some indigenous men to look down on our indigenous women - more those warrior indigenous women - who are standing up - when those the must are doing - nothing at all. I know what I speak about.

We do have indigenous warrior women and men - to remind us all - that those whose heart is in the right place - are there to stand for what is right. Aho.
We must be leery of those that make pacts with the Whites - create and carve out areas - for so called Community Benefits.
Benefits that are shared by some - while the majority continue to suffer.
Benefits that are shared by some - while the majority continue to suffer.
If have some indigenous - who decide who get the bigger stipends - for the same service - discriminate against other indigenous for the same issue and service - there is something missing in this equation of sorts.
It is wrong for those who have the money and must do right - give paltry, small stipends to those that deserve more.
All this - right here in San Francisco - linked to the SF Arts Commission and others who are from the SF Mayor's office - playing with fire.
This is Muwekma Ohlone Land - all tribes are welcome on Muwekma Ohlone land - more those warriors women and men whose heart is in the right place. The Great Spirit sees it all.

We cannot stand by and look the other way when it comes to doing right - actions count.
Fail to stand by our indigenous women warriors who have fallen prey to murder, are missing, commit suicide, and fall prey to other atrocities - where are our indigenous - warrior men ?

Alcatraz once a notorious jail house - was established on the island - wayward military, others seasoned criminals, the Hopi Nation among others - were incarcerated - at Alcatraz.
All this and more is well known all over the world - " Escape from Alcatraz " - " The Rock " and others myths - that enthrall - thousands of visitors - who care for the mundane and are materialistic.
I will be on the island come Thursday - early morning - and hope to see all my indigenous friends - sisters and brothers.
