It is not funny anymore - when the Seniors are called to a Town Hall meeting - to vent, shout, scream - and told by those that can do something for them - that the future is bright.
Such was a meeting held at City Hall on May 21, 2012 that started at 10:30 am in Room 250.
Daily the Seniors in San Francisco by large - experience hell on Earth.
After the drab presentation - generalities were offered - with no solutions in sight - and for sure NO solutions with time lines.
It was time for so called Public Comment - a measly - two minutes.
Senior after Senior - came to the podium and spoke in English and Chinese. Those that spoke in Chinese had their statements translated in English.
The theme was the same - " we the Seniors of San Francisco are treated with disdain".
The presentation given by the authorities did not reflect the situation at hand.
The situation today; concerning the Seniors in San Francisco is simple - too many Seniors - who should be having peace of mind and good health - are suffering.
Many of them thrown on the streets of San Francisco - to fend for themselves.
