The Statue of Liberty -

In 1865 a Frenchman named Edouard De Laboulaye came up with an idea - to commemorate freedom in America and promote it in France.

Edouard envisioned a symbol - that worldwide would signified the most important value we humans treasure - our FREEDOM.

Loaboulaye figured out it was a nice way to honor the alliance between the United States and France - the role of these two Nations - during the American Revolution.

Sculptor Aguste Bartholdi began designing " Liberty Enlightening the World " in 1870.

The Statue packed in 214 shipping crates - arrived on site in New York but could not be a assembled until the pedestal was completed and unveiled on October 28, 1886.

Lady Liberty has stood as a symbol of freedom worldwide ever since.

True FREEDOM shuns injustice, shuns discrimination, does not consider some people less human - and all this and more - daily in our lives - we must consider - and confront those that foster - divisiveness.

Today we try to celebrate the Independence of our Nation - while millions were already free - more, when this Nation - was named Turtle Island. 

All  enjoyed that FREEDOM for 15,000 years - indigenous people.

So how does this date July 4, 1776 - figure out in this equation.

This fake evolution  so called FREEDOM DAY - July 4 - or is it LICENSE - practiced in the name of FREEDOM.

Abuse of FREEDOM is LICENSE.

It is simply amusing to see people enjoy " fireworks ".

In recent years " drones painting design in the sky " - commemorating - our celebrations of some events - including July 4.

It tickles us a little - but far from that - if there is no substance viable and sustainable - more signifying tenacity and fortitude  - embracing humanity and stellar values - more, the time involved to subscribe to such notions and vague celebrations - our actions need to be evaluated.

We human adore symbols - many a time - failing to analyze what the symbols truly mean - we love to see the symbols,  touching them makes us feel better  - but - only for a just a fleeting - moment.

Then when the mist passes away - we have to deal with reality.

Indigenous People Lived on Turtle Island

remains and artifacts.

Today we have in the White House an egoistical maniac - who purports to know most everything - making a fool of himself.

Our Constitution does not define how FREE the Blacks are in our Nation.

The last amendment done on the issue - does not speak to FREEDOM and more equal rights.

It is the same with the Native Americans - the treaties are bold to say - that a treaty has been signed - with the Native Americans - who are NOT citizens.

Amendments made in later years issuing passports and Identification Papers - just so that Native Americans can serve and fight for our Nation.

Blacks fought in the many wars - and came home - only to considered Second Class Citizens.

Indigenous People were born Free -

every single day - is Freedom Day -

much like the Buffalo roams free -

the birds fly have their freedom - and the fish swim free

that is until the strangers came and tried 

to brain wash the indigenous people - Go Figure!

THERE USE TO BE A BOND BETWEEN THE BLACKS AND NATIVE AMERICANS - DWINDLING - THE HAND THAT FED THEM BLACKS - THE FAVOR RETURNED WITH DOUBT AND DISTRUST.

This land  - Turtle Island - for over 15,000 years

was protected and preserved by Native Americans for generations to come.

 Mother Earth was respected but more loved

 And in loving Mother Earth 

the Native American provided succor to those

that fled from the Slave Masters - those - that fled 

 Blacks once known better as Negros -

were sheltered and protected by Native Americans.

There use to be an understanding

between Blacks and the Native Americans.

Today that trust is dwindling - those that were saved -

those that were protected - bit the hand that fed them.

The Great Spirit sees it all. 

It is not sufficient to say " I have Indian in me " -

what is it that you do to represent - speak truth to power?

It was not uncommon for posters such as the above

declaring the flagrant defiance - seeking revenge - 

that to this day discriminate - seeing is believing -

some know of Nat Turner -  of others too 

that ran away from the slave masters -  embraced

 by the Native Americans

took advantage of their Freedom now have turned their back. 

The Black Panthers had it right -

only for a few to sellout - much like we have 

some Black sellouts in the Bayview Hunters Point -

preying on the community - doling out Community Benefits -

meant for our infants, our children, our youth,

our young adults, our seniors, those with 

compromised health - more mentally and physically challenged.

Family comes first to the Native Americans -

through trials and tribulation - for over 500 years -

the women - more Elders - have kept it together -

passed the wisdom from generation to generation -

revealed the secrets to the those that keep them intact -

wisdom passed from generation to generation 

that time is now.

This year, 2018 - divisiveness has reached a stage -

where people of color are discriminated against -

on another level mostly Blacks

fail to speak truth to power

now pander - have no conscience -

no soul - wicked, weak in the knees -

many Blacks take money and sell their souls.

We have such political whores and pimps -

right here in San Francisco.

There has been a deep awakening the few the brave -

have decided to shed light where there is darkness -

the cockroaches - hiding in dark places -

will flee and meet their end - by design

there is only so much harm that can be done -

the Great Spirit will see that this harm - comes to an end.

THE RAPING OF TURTLE ISLAND MUST STOP - THIEVES THAT HAVE NO RIGHT TO ABUSE MOTHER EARTH - STOP YOUR EVIL WAYS - NOW.

we saw it all - protests - the firing line

rubber bullets shot - hitting the innocent

the ancestors laid the norms of the land
many Tribes were Matriarchal -
and many still remain - and keep the culture intact

democracy was part of the Six Nations - the Iroquois Tribe

for 15,000 years - let this be known and understood

the Founding Fathers met with the leaders 

of the Six Nations - incorporated much of the practices 

of the Six Nations - in the United States Constitution
the insult heaped on the Native Americans 
is known world wide - the Reservations the most
shaming - Native Americans deprived of Freedom
there is Freedom and there is License 
abuse of Freedom is License

There is an understanding - that the indigenous value
 - a spiritual and nature balance kept in harmony -
 with all that that has life on Mother Earth 
when life of the animals, birds, fish is taken 
a prayer said 
- one life sustains the other - more we human beings 
 - indigenous people know their place 
you take little - and leave more for future generations
you care for the infants, children, youth, young adults -
seniors, those mentally and physically challenged -
the Great Spirit see it all

symbols that led to many a civilization 
explore with each human being within
 and that 
outside their being - and brought about healing
much before the Whites landed on Turtle Island
 they lived in caves - in despicable conditions 
they brought small pox, other STD ailments
to Turtle Island  
those that were indigenous - fell prey to this evil
 continues to this day

We know those that speak with a forked tongue
the many treaties signed and broken
those that are indigenous have suffered too much
no more - this is our time - 
we are in touch
with our ancestors - who led the way and handed down
the wisdom and mysteries handed from  -
 from time immemorial  
in unity, harmony,  fortitude and tenacity -  
we move forward - knowing what we know is best
