Pacific Gas and Electric Company -
over 110 years of dedicated service -
now forced to declare bankruptcy - adversely impacting -
millions in Northern California
- and there is more ......
- and there is more ......
For over 110 years Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has had a great run - selling electric power, natural gas - and raking in millions from all sorts of permits - linked to sub-stations - and raking in millions more from SF Public Utilities Commission - and other larger organizations.
To understand PG&E better - one must have a sense of investment - the filthy rich all had their investments in PG&E that was much before IBM stocks and shares were valued - and now Apple, Google, and so on.
Pacific Gas and Electric
its headquarters in San Francisco -
this on SF Market Street
PG&E is a force to reckon with controlling over 40% of the electric and natural gas service accounts - in California.
People in Southern California will hear more about PG&E - much like we know little more Edison Power and other companies providing the vital source to address Quality of Life Issues in Southern California.
The Butte Fire - played havoc with PG&E -
greedy insurance companies -
are out to get billions as much as $40 billion -
the yearly operations linked to PG&E - $4 billion.
We all remember the San Bruno Fire -
I do - saw it from my office window -
Executive Park - 5 Thomas Mellon -
I thought a plane crashed - but that was not the case.
Some of us know a lot about the San Bruno fiasco - homes lost and with it the loss of life.
PG&E lied, cheated, failing to maintain the San Bruno natural gas lines - preferring deferred maintenance - and was fined - after years of deliberation in our courts.
This long drawn process caused so much trauma - to the victims who lost everything - no one can put a price on the loss of loved ones - friends and supporters - who suffer to this day.
The inferno that was the Butte Fire -
played havoc making thousands homeless -
impacting many of us to this day.
The Butte Fire -
this pine tree says it all -
etched in the minds of those all who see it .
The Butte Fire was too much to endure - and caught PG&E totally off guard - over 40,000 homes were adversely impacted and 98 people lost their lives.
An entire town - wiped out - the town was incinerated.
To this this day - people who refused to go and see the fiasco - when forced to visit the site - for one reason or the other - cannot imagine the intensity of the devastation.
The Hetch Hetchy Valley was flooded -
to create the Hetch Hetchy dam -
hydro-electricity produced was meant to be used -
more for the needs of San Francisco - now that power
is sold to Tulare County and other ploys, machinations,
and shenanigans - that only the SF Public Utilities Commission can comprehend.
When the Raker Act was passed in 1913 - Congress influenced by mostly powerful White men - fought hard to being hydro-electric power from the Hetch Hetchy dam - all the way to San Francisco.
The mostly powerful White Congressmen also fought to bring millions of gallons all the way from Hetch Hetchy to San Francisco - creating dams and reservoirs.
The Calaveras Dam, Crystal Springs - University Mound, Sunset Reservoirs in San Francisco and other wells and water tanks - seen all over San Francisco - that I am very familiar with - not so our SF Supervisors, our Mayor London Breed, and of course the City and County City Departments.
The water and the rivers belonged to the First People - when all this was created. All that belonged the First People - who cared of all - for over 15,000 years - was taken away - stolen. The women raped, the children killed, the men tortured - and all this and more has not been adjudicated - where is the restitution?
At this opportune time - KARMA come to mind - and Pacific Gas and Electricity - played a key role - filling its coffers - and playing with fire - until finally - fire came to visit its doors.
That may be a fact - but have their eyes opened - and what is more important to note - where is the justice and fair play ?
The First People were not consulted - be that the land, the rivers the forests, the hills and mountains, everything we see today - every square inch was stolen.
I have been in touch with the First People of over 40 years - but will save that conversation for another time - sooner not latter.
Chief Joseph -
he loved Mother Earth -
he died despondent - he could not bear
the harm done to his people - more the women -
the infants, the children his people.
This Mural depicts the state of affairs -
at the SF Presidio of San Francisco -
the soldiers, the missionaries, the travelers -
despised and treated with disdain the First People.
There is no reasoning with scumbags - greedy as they are - in less than 300 years they have destroyed all that was pristine - in Northern California. Go Figure!
The power lines came all the way - from Hetch Hetchy to South Francisco some 130 miles.
South of San Francisco - there was NO money - to bring the power lines - some 30 miles South of San Francisco to San Francisco - just like that - Pacific Gas and Electric was formed.
The rich and famous invested and as the years went by - their investments paid very rich dividends.
Most folks living in the Pacific Heights invested in PG&E - and those familiar with Stocks and Shares - always praised PG&E not so much for their service that was fair - more for the rich dividends - that filled the coffers of the filthy - rich.
Mayor London Breed -
has No experience to handle the situation at hand
if she goes to SF Public Utilities Commission for help -
she will will drowning in the cesspool of her own creation.
Stop making statements that San Francisco can
invest in PG&E assists - when our City is in a mess - already.
Mayor London Breed has NO clue how PG&E will adversely impact San Francisco and more SF Public Utilities Commission - which is drowning in the cesspool - of its own creation.
The SF Clean Power happens because of PG&E power lines - the bill you pay for Clean Power - is because PG&E allows - the customers for a fee - to pay the electric and gas bill.
The many bigger buildings, facilities, schools, larger corporation all have to invest in metering, sub-stations, other modalities to address electric and gas connection - costing the customer - huge fees and this and all - will be streamlined with the Bankruptcy - and some of us know some - but all that will change.
Right now PG&E rakes in millions - and has the savvy operations and management to do so.
With PG&E playing second fiddle to the Bankruptcy Court and its appointees - all that and more will change.
It will simply cost more.
Geisha Williams the President of PG&E
has jumped ship -
large corporations often will offer positions to women
as a last resort to turn things around -
before that the men - so called power men
will create the confusion - I was seen this pattern, before.
Many working in upper management - earning millions at PG&E have jumped ship.
The courts are busy appointing care taker teams - to see that the customers receive uninterrupted service - but there are NO guarantees.
Mayor London Breed has no clue when it comes to Infrastructure and the many modalities involved with large operations such as PG&E,
Nor does the City Administrator Naomi Kelly who is still dealing with the mess at the Millennium Building - sinking 22 inches and tilting 18 inches North West - the building is located on the 300 block of Mission Street - right in the middle of the Financial District.
Harlan Kelly who in recent years - has been fumbling the ball with the Sewer System Improvement Project (SSIP) - once costing $6 billion and now $10 billion - will be caught holding the empty back.
Factored in all the improvements - the cost of electric and gas and all this and more will cost more. The current project will become cost prohibitive - this one singular factor has NOT been discussed - who is fooling whom?
In decades gone by - we once saw our PG&E bill rise 80% - we paid our bill - if we failed to do so - then all hell would break loose.
Recently, SF Public Utilities Commission decided to bail out its customers linked to SF Clean Power - for sure the SF Clean Power program subsidized - an idea approved by the SF Public Utility Commissioners - more to defy PG&E and not comprehending the underlying factors - resulting from the Butte Fires and related issues.
SF Public Utilities Commission - will have to do more - adversely impacting the SF Public Utilities Commission - horribly.
In two years Manager, Harlan Kelly is leaving - right now he was filling his coffers - working with scum bags such as Dwayne Jones - who proclaims he is a business man and a philanthropist - which is a JOKE.
Dwayne Jones -
wheeling and dealing -
wasting millions - Community Benefits
he is NOT from San Francisco.
Harlan Kelly thinks he can leave - the Sewer System Improvement Project (SSIP) is a mess - without liability.
PG&E will impact his health - because Harlan Kelly knows well - the only one way out for him - one he has created a mess is hire Consultants - and this cost money.
One must be educated on issues - and Harlan Kelly, Barbara Hale, Juliet Ellis, William Carlin and a host of idiots that work for SF Public Utilities Commission - will be wondering for a long time - moving like zombies - trying to figure out their fate - and more the legacy they leave.
In the interim Dwayne Jones who does not work for the SF Public Utilities Commission - has been raking in millions - linked to the Sewer System Improvement Project (SSIP) and more Community Benefits that he doles out to mostly Black - sell outs.
This has nothing to do with PG&E but it does.
When I worked for the Presidio of the San Francisco - more when Sixth U.S. Army was in control - I used to meet with PG&E - every single year - to figure out much we owed PG&E.
At that time Municipalities, the U.S. Army, Public Housing, the SF Port Authority, the Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA), the SF Airport Authority - all received their electricity and natural gas - from PG&E.
Some of the above mentioned entities had no metering system -the SF Presidio of San Francisco - for sure did not have meters attached to each and every facility and dwelling.
We had to sit down - and negotiate with PG&E - until finally the one big check was paid - mostly having six zeros.
Paradoxically most people do not know until 1996 - those in Public Housing did not pay the Electric and Natural Gas Bill - the SF Housing Authority did.
Willie L. Brown Jr.,
if ever there was a crook -
you are looking at him -
he had the audacity to mandate PG&E
to put meters at all the Public Housing -
and make the poor and indigent pay their bills.
PG&E was ordered to install meters - and the poor and indigent in SF Public Housing - paid their PG&E bills.
It was not uncommon for a two and three bed room unit to pay Over $300 a month - often because a broken window or a door that let in air - cooled the unit - and electric heaters were employed to keep the place warm and cozy.
Repairs took months - and the SF Housing Authority was despicable - more, when it came to deferred maintenance.
At the end of the month - the tenants were furious - these poor and indigent tenants from Public Housing - could not pay their electric and gas bill - often had to pay an arm and a leg - more, - after their services were cut off - paying their bills - restoring their services.
For decades Willie L. Brown Jr., has been connected with PG&E - he acts as their advisor, their attorney, their go in between.
Much as the former " thug " Mayor - does on Hunters Point Naval Shipyard with the EB-5 Visas - Mainland Chinese paying $500,000 a pop.
His writing bull shit on his column in the Chronicle - does him no justice - he is still adored by mostly Blacks who have lost their mind.
In this re-organization - linked to Pacific Gas and Electricity - Chapter 11 - what we commonly call Bankruptcy - will rock the boat.
The City and County of San Francisco will have to step up - adversely impacting the $160 million surplus.
We the tax payers - must STOP any Bond Measure being placed for voting on - where our taxes come into account to pay the arrears - and premiums.
STOP listening to investing in Green Projects and Social Projects - linked to our future investment in Bond Measures.
These fancy titles - attached to Bond Measures - meant to fool the current SF Board of Supervisors - many of them - do not even have a sound checking account.
Ask them for their personal Credit Score - and there will be a lull - followed by a long silence.
Once Pacific Gas and Electric was a force to be reckoned with - much like Southern Pacific, much like Chevron, and I go on - at one time - PG&E had a long run - but all that has come to an abrupt - halt.
I had the privilege to visit the power brokers in San Francisco - at one time - often inviting them to the SF Presidio Officers Club to learn more about the wheeling and dealing.
All of the above large organizations and others - have met their fate - the spiraling economy - that comes our way every so many years.
Sometimes - announcing itself but most of the time - hitting us in the face - with a resounding, black out - sometimes we recover quickly - most of the time it takes some time years.
Let us know - if you hear anything progress linked with PG&E and its operation - one year from now - with documents - empirical data.
