GENTRIFICATION OF THE WORST ORDER - HAS COME TO VISIT - ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT OFFICE - IN THE BAYVIEW HUNTERS POINT - 4911 THIRD IS UP FOR SALE FOR $.1.6 MILLION.

Gentrification has come to visit 4909 Third Street  - the building - is up for sale - and the asking price is $1.6 million.

I know there is some one out there - who has the "dingo" to make this deal go through - the Chinese have flooded Bayview Hunters Point - filled with suit cases of tainted money.

These vultures - are now gobbling up anything they can buy - and of course - they have NO connection what so ever - with the neighborhood - and that means the community at large for sure.

Before, I say much - here is a video of the property - it is at the corner of Palou and Third Street - enjoy the video and tour of the property :

4909 Third Street has been the home of such stalwarts as Dr. Espanola Jackson, Alex Pitcher, Calvin Hayes, Shirley Jones, Kevin Williams, Sam Murray, Mohammad Nuru - movers and shakers - who worked  very hard and represented the community.

Home of the Bayview Coordinating Council, Black Human Right Council,  Environmental Justice Advocacy - and numerous umbrella groups all these many years - who used the office as a home base - and address.

We welcomed all - and made our peace with all - we will continue to do - God willing.

Dr. Espanola Jackson (may her soul rest in peace )
Francisco Da Costa - we did our best to represent -
I will carry on her work and she will be with me in spirit.

Our City and County of San Francisco has a $10 billion budget - set aside a measly 2% for the homeless - the SF City should come to the rescue of the Non-profits - more, those that represent the poor, the indigent.

Those community members - caught up in the on going GENTRIFICATION - that totally depend on Non-profits - such as Southeast Sector Community Development Corporation - that has dedicated thousands of hours - serving the people of San Francisco - with emphasis on Bayview Hunters Point - with distinction.

Chairperson Rosemary Cambra and Francisco Da Costa
at City Hall - where Supervisors Eric Mar and David
Campos honored the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe recently.

4909 Third was the original office that supported the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe - from way back in 1990 - the real work started in 1988.

In 1992 the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe exercised its Right of First Refusal on Hunters Point, parts of the Presidio of San Francisco, Yerba Buena - Oakland Army Base - and other places of interest - not Treasure Island as it is man made.

The SF Redevelopment Agency promised to build a facility for the Muwekma Ohlone - and has not.  That day has come to bring about this reality - and leave a legacy.

The SF Redevelopment Agency has been replaced by the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure - before that the Successor Agency Commission to the erstwhile - SF Redevelopment Agency.

The Muwekma Ohlone Tribe has been patient - and this would the right time to purchase the building at 4911 Third Street  and Palou Street - the main address of the building - and honor the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe.

Mayor Edwin Lee -
has an opportunity to put his best foot forward.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi -
is aware of the hard work or the advocates -
all of them that made their home at 4909 Third Street.

Senator Dianne Feinstein personally knew
Dr. Espanola Jackson and should step up.

Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr -
knew Dr. Espanola Jackson and should set the record straight.

We have allies at SF City Hall - and they all have been given the information - to act - if not - we the people, we the commons, will act.

I am not about to attend workshops - where you have to beg for bread crumbs.

All these many years since 1990 - we have worked very hard - and have NOT begged for money.
This location can be purchased and used for Non-profits - with one caveat that a noted Non-profit from the Bayview - some Non-Profit with its heart in the right place - doing the right thing - is in charge.

The City and County of San Francisco has paid homage - to our office for decades - from which was initiated the Human Right Committee - now the Human Rights Commission.

We met with LGBT leaders to coin the words that was incorporated into legislation - " domestic partners " - supported a Ballot Measure and won - partnering with Harry Britt.

We fought to lower the height limit for those qualified and entering the SF Police Department - that lead to a Chinese becoming SF Police Chief  - Lau.

Advocates from our office have attended thousands of meetings - all these many years - on Land Use, SF Planning, Safety Commission, the SF Board of Supervisors, the SF Redevelopment Meeting now the OCII, the SF County Transportation Agency meeting and more.

Advocates from 4909 Third have received numerous commendations and honored umpteen times.

Talk is cheap - now it the time to act - the SF City and County of San Francisco can put its best foot forward - or forever hold its peace.
