your caring smile - that thoughtful glance
you always wanted everything just so
impressed me as a lady - the first time I saw you
Not long ago I visited you at Saint Luke's
we spoke about the issues of common interests
and even as you were suffering inside
you showed me and those present - the stronger you
You were larger than life
in the small things you cared for
your children foremost - and Big Shawn
the love of your life
Life is for the living
Not the living dead
in life - you gave it your all
Your children will never, ever - stop loving you
and with them hundreds of others you touched
The many events that you took part in
the many games and extra curricula activities
Taking care of the children - and yet making time to spare
where there is love there is more - sacrifice
making all feel at home - at home and where ever
So caring - so selfless - and most of all
so giving and accommodating
you felt the pain of others - and did all
to soothe and heal - and yet when I saw you suffering
you said to me - without saying a word
God is love and that you could do it - faith and hope
You have left this Earth
your legacy will leave forever
those of us you touched so deep
will never forget that smile - but more
the everlasting love - that will grow and grow
To Big Shawn and the children
Saane was sent to us - to teach us
all the good that we can appreciate and love
there can be no love without sacrifice
