Why are young - mostly disadvantaged girls in San Francisco - discriminated against?
Young boys only - from the 3rd grade to the 5th grade given opportunities to be coached on Saturdays - by folks like Dwayne Jones and others - without having one single meaningful meeting in the community.
Who is permitting such folks to have the permits to operated these so called classes for the young - focusing only on the boys and not the girls. Why is this happening just now - more among our Blacks youth - when these same elements - are furthered the cause of - gentrification.
What are the many women institutions and those groups of women who are talking about issues like "Domestic Violence" - for example - making a big roar about - but not taking a stand - on this issues in broad daylight?
Stand up for the young girls and make sure they are offered the same opportunities as the boys - with care, nurturing, safety all in place. We have many girls from the 3rd grade to the 5th grade that need dire help. More girls from the Public Housing - and for sure poor girls who have to overcome a lot more hurdles than poor boys.
Again and again all over the Nation - in our many middle schools, high schools, in our colleges, in our universities - girls seem to do well in their studies.
This is not the case when it comes to poor neighborhoods and less when it comes to our Public Housing.
There are many smart young girls in the Public Housing that are not offered opportunities. Many fall prey to dysfunctional families - fathers in jail - the mother having two, three, four babies - and that through many fathers.
Prostitution, drugs, other types of unhealthy habits are prevalent - and we need to have class for our young girls - put them back on track - with older women, good teachers, and all safety precautions taken.
The ones that are working hard to bring the young boys - only - from the 3rd grade to the 5th grade - makes no sense - but, it makes senses when you see beyond the beyond.
The City knows about this - the District 10 Supervisor Malia Cohen knows about the situation at hand - in the Bayview Hunters Point - but, does not do a damn, thing - about young girls and boys that need help in education, health and help in general.
The same prevails in smaller and larger measure in District 11 where Supervisor John Avalos resides - in District 6.
More, in which Supervisor Jane Kim - resides - and these three Supervisors love to talk the talk - but, it when it comes to walking the walking - there is no - action at all - serving our young children and more our poorer - children.
Folks like Dwayne Jones love to garner the support of people who have no clue about Dwayne Jones' - past activities - many dubious in nature - some so nefarious all well recorded.
Gimmicks that have adversely impacted our youth all over San Francisco - as is with the situation with the present gimmicks - recruiting young boys from the 3rd to 5th grade - sounds good - but who truly is monitoring the shenanigans - in the 1400 block of Old Bayshore in an industrial area?
The parents of the many young girls - should speak up - the Elders should speak up - and I will ask Dr Espanola Jackson to find out what is truly happening - with this project. Something really stinks in Denmark!
Young people need to be protected - young people need all the help they can get - and these wannabees come into the community - getting grants - from some quarters who have an ulterior motive - but; all this will be monitored.
